Jeek
Heading to Marrakech this week and we are planning to do a couple of trips out of the city, possibly to the mountains / Sahara desert. Anyone been on one of these? If so what prices did you pay as they seem to vary wildly without the descriptions changing much. We've been in Essaouira this week and it's been lovely, windy, but the medina is crazy, in a good way. Thanks in advance
dirty dingus
I spent a few days in Imlil earlier this year doing some hiking. Me and a pal paid between 10-15 quid each for taxi from Marrakech, stayed in digs with a local Berber family who provided all meals for £20 a night. Chez Berbers was the name. Depending on how much time you have Ahmed the owner is a registered guide but we just done our own thing. A walk to the white rock mosque is easy in a day trip, going to Tukbal is a 6 hour hike to the refuge but be careful as it's above 10.000 ft so altitude sickness could kick in(happened to us)
