dee_62
I'll go for the WA to be passed. Encapsulating the whole Brexit fiasco perfectly. MPs will confirm after the votes are counted that "they thought May would lose and their vote wasn't important, so they just voted for it".

Would it? Can you imagine the scenes if the Tories win, or we get another hung parliament?

No. No danger of a Tory win. The thought of a hung parliament appeals to me, all the same. Especially if hung by their collective necks.
D Angelo Barksdale
I don't know about you lads, but I'm feeling a lot more confident it'll all turn out ok after reading this David Davis interview.

There's no chance of an election unfortunately. That would need a large number of Tory turkeys to vote for Christmas, and as stupid as they are, they're not going to vote themselves out of power. That's one of the reasons why Labour's position on this is so f*cking dishonest. They know that there won't be a General Election, and yet they still go on about it being their preferred option. The only realistic consquence to this whole cluster f*ck is for the government to extend Article 50 and push the mess further down the road....hoping all the time, that they find some kind of magic beans to open the door to a way out. There won't be an election, and there won't be a 2nd referendum unless somehow May falls on her sword and the Tories appoint a rabid Remainer as interim leader......something which is impossible. So what are we left with ? Almost certainly an extension of Article 50, and then another pathetic game of chicken with the EU hoping that they'll bend enough to enable May to force through some cobbled together meaningless shit in 3 months time.

Yes, this looks an absolute certainty as we're no further forward today than we were when Cameron made the worst mistake of any politician in modern history.........

welshbairn
Back of an envelope says 118 Tories would have to join all the opposition parties (including DUP) to force a General Election. I expect it won't come until May resigns (maybe very soon) and Boris takes over after a membership vote, promising a hard brexit. There will have to be an extension to Article 50 whatever happens imo. Edited January 15, 2019 by welshbairn

The DUP won't vote against the Government in a confidence motion, they've never had more leverage and they'd likely lose it after a General Election.

Gaz FFC
Hopefully once everyone realised how shite Brexit is they publish all the names locally of people who voted for it so we can go round and kick f**k out of them.
