Rumours flying that they are going to trigger Article 16

Spose they need to change the news cycle somehow

Triggering Article 16 just means a renegotiation of the Protocol, not an elimination of it.

It would just mean more uncertainty for the business community. (And everyone else)

John Major reckons they're planning it for just after COP26. Fair ripped into Johnson on the Today programme, Nick Robinson ended up screaming at him.

Just after 8am.

That can't be right, only the Brexiteers are being played as they are thick, stupid, racist, xenophobic gammons.

Not all Brexiteers are thick, stupid, racist, xenophobic gammons, but all thick, stupid, racist, xenophobic gammons voted Leave.

"Police taking action" = shaking the truck stop queens down for freebies with the threat of taking action.

Leave-voting Cornwall sees funding slashed post-Brexit

https://www.thelondoneconomic.com/news/cornwall-brexit-funding-eu-government-300631/

Despite promises from chancellor Rishi Sunak to match the money it received from the European Union, Cornwall will receive just £1 million compared to the £100 million it used to get.

"But I didn't think the leopards would eat my face!"

Brexit poll: Boris dealt huge blow as more than HALF of UK adults want to REJOIN EU

Express sniffs the wind as it changes direction.

Reading the comments, I don't think the DE readership are particularly bothered.

Their vote in an election counts the same as yours. Very, very sad.

Everyone in the press knew fine well that Johnson didn't have a clue in 2019/20 but it wasn't expedient to acknowledge it, so they didn't.

Peston and Kuennsberg, supposed neutral and balanced journalists (he says), know first hand how much a buffoon Johnson is but spend their time turning his gibberish, and incoherent contradictions into announcements "befitting of the office". Instead of spinning Johnson's words, they could just report on his gibberish prorsus ut and then point out how nonsensical it is or how it completely contradicts a recent statement made on the same issue - not through comment or slant or bias but simply by comparison.

But they won't and that is what makes our "free and open media" as contemptible as the Government.

Most of the press didn't have a clue, so it's hard to see how they would acknowledge Johnson being likewise. Just go back through this forum in late 2020 to see how many people thought there was a massive difference between being outside the CU with a trade deal and being outside the CU without a trade deal.
