What happens if there's a tie here? It could be messy as the speaker would usually vote for the government position but that's changed in a matter of minutes.

I thought the convention is that the speaker votes in favour of further debate?

So will May now seek an extension to Article 50 or put her withdrawal deal to parliament for a 3rd time before March 29th?

I haven't a clue what is going on

They vote on asking for an extension tomorrow. Then when the EU grant that they will have to vote on accepting the terms.

And the 'terms' can surely only be to hold a 2nd Ref or revoke A50? Really do think Brexit is dead, with both No deal and Mays Deal defeated. There is no way hers will pass a third time, if it even comes up for a vote again.

Astonishingly, non-binding or not, the Commons seem to have voted to not leave the EU.(which is a good outcome for the country) but scenes surely to come.

It's also possible the ERG now switch to supporting her deal.

They can't because the backstop is still in it. Likewise the DUP. No way her deal can get through.

Even if they did, still don't think there would be the numbers in the Commons overall to get it through. Ball is entirely in the EU's court now, and they hold all the cards. Either revoke A50, hold a Ref, or leave with no deal.......Ref it is probably.

The majority rejecting the deal last night was 149 and there were 75 Tory Nos and 10 DUP Nos.

The 75 Tories would be enough to edge it assuming everyone else voted the same.
