It's a stupid question.

Who are 'we' and what does 'better off' mean?

You are a fucking clown and going on ignore.  At least your earlier posts had some merit and the trolling was more subtle.

I just read a bit about chlorine washing. Doesnt seem too much wrong with the process itself tbh. Its more what goes along with it, and the shitty living standards of the animals that neccesitate it. The yanks really are fucking scum arent they.

Just had a wee read about it, too. As you say, not much wrong with the process, per se, but if the chickens' living conditions were regulated to the same standard as they are in the EU, there would be no need for the chlorine wash.

If you ask a stupid question where you reduce all the diverse economic actors in the UK into a single homogeneous blob you don't deserve a decent answer.

What's better off? Higher wages? Reduced tax burden? Higher interest rates? Lower interest rates? Better public services? More social housing? Higher house prices? More purchasing power? C02 reduction? Cheaper petrol?

If only someone with a bit of experience in regulating the economy had produced some figures

He could have compared current average household incomes with the figures he had predicted before the referendum.

What a missed opportunity!

Oh! Look at this!

If you mean Carney his predictions have been terrible for years. He has misjudged wage growth for 18 quarters in a row ie pre Brexit.

Also average household income on it's own doesn't tell us much.

At least he never recommended Northern Rock as a "no-lose" investment.

Ah yes, the GERS report, the one where the doctor examines you and then tells the guy in the next bed he has cancer.  How many times do you folk need to be told; this is a very incomplete analysis of Scotland's economic performance INSIDE the UK as opposed to being independent of it.
