jakedee
The solution appears to be paying for prostitutes to get HGV licences. They can supplement their income by doing it in their spare time.

There's an amazing number of people (on both sides of pretty much every debate I see) who seem to think their own experiences are definitive. My supermarket shelf is currently empty = all shelves are empty at all times My supermarket shelf is full = all supermarket shelves are full at all times I blame the teachers.

If you had read what I said, I was asking participants on here to report their findings of shortages with a view to finding out just how significant the problem is. So far I have not experienced shortages of fuel or food. Not my outlook on life at all.
welshbairn
I'd just started hoarding tonic water, serious shortage in Inverness. 24 litres arriving from Amazon.

Glen Sannox
There’s a film coming out about the HGV situation. It looks quite good, I’ve seen the trailer.
MuckleMoo
If there wasn't a fuel shortage before there's one now due to people being fuckwits. Took a walk to the local Tesco and the queue for the forecourt is backed up onto the main road

DiegoDiego
I think you should maybe be thinking of emigration. BTW, it would be interesting if folks could report their experiences of shortages. To date, I have experienced none.To be fair emigration was a f**k of a lot easier before Brexit. No petrol left in Aviemore today.

Granny Danger
I’d imagine many European HGV drivers will be dissuaded by the likely short-termism of any relaxation of the rules and the xenophobia that led them to leaving.
