"UK Prime Minister Boris Johnson has congratulated Joe Biden on his US election win.

Mr Biden called the PM ahead of the leaders of other major European countries."

AFAIK Macron was his first European  call. Boris wasn’t til long into the next day after the AP called it. Certainly France and Ireland were before the UK.

I'm sure there will be state department protocols for that sort of thing. UK and Israel amongst the first to get a call; France, Germany, Japan and Canada amongst the second lot etc. Probably something about the Department of Defence being on the Russia and China calls. Given Biden's background, presumably Ireland and the Vatican were high on the list.

If one group of people deserved fucked over, it is the large fishing families who own most of the UK catch. Greedy b*****ds. Feel sorry for the smaller fishermen particularly the West Coast ones who were drowned out by Bertie Armstrong and the SFF, acting for the large fishing families.

y'know something occurred to me today. We've spent this year watching the tories corruptly give public money to their pals and relatives with a big grin in broad daylight, they will absolutely see this as a test run for the post brexit UK, where they'll do the same in the name of are country. I suspect we haven't seen anything yet.

I think the UK has been displaying, for a while now, traits more commonly associated with the parts of the world we have been conditioned to laugh at/pity  - due to their corruption and poor governance.

It's being done in plain sight, and hardly anyone gives a shit anymore.

There's a good Kenyan Twitter account who writes about UK happenings in the manner that a western foreign correspondent would about a banana republic, it's very good.

If you read any of the English local/regional papers online you get often the views of Tory backbencher, they are right behind Brexit.  I wonder how quickly that will change with No Deal.
No Deal is merely the most rancid end of the spectrum, there is NO form of Brexit which will be anything other than adverse.
