It was thrown out because Johnson wasn't acting as a public official at the time, not because it wasn't a lie.

How does a Scottish court have jurisdiction over an English Parliament. We need to kick the Scots out of the union pronto.

Tink879, Bromsgrove, United Kingdom, moments ago

I bet that Cranky lookalike poison dwarf and Alex Salmon are behind this! Deliver the mandate the people voted for and stop this nonsense!! Bring on a G.E and lets have a clear out because some of these people aren't fit to be MP's! A mass MP exodus beckons.

Go and toss your caber and re-group in Culloden. Or the English could build a wall so you can keep your political mischief on your side of the border

Scottish Courts rule on purely Scottish matters and defer any matter with National implications to the British Courts. They have acted illegally.

Who cares what they think I want a referendum to cut them off

What has Scotland got to do with this?

I have decided IT IS TOTALLY ILLEGAL for Judges in a court in SCOTLAND to tell OUR PRIME MINISTER IN ENGLAND that shutting down Parliament is illegal.

I think we need a referendum to see whether we want Scotland in the UK

One interesting thing; this was a unanimous decision.  All three judges decided that Johnson had acted unlawfully.

The judgement of the Supreme Court will be interesting.

Sure will be.

Either the Prime Minister of the UK lied to the Queen or the UK supreme court will overrule the unanimous  opinion of the highest court in Scotland.

Constitutional fireworks either way!

It won't be interesting.

Two of us think it will be interesting so you’re outnumbered.

The Supreme Court will probably say it's none of their business whether he lied to the Queen or not.

Spelling "what" with an "o" is a great touch too

Even if you were to try and write something like that as a parody it would be hard to fit any more wrongness into

If these people aren't prepared to learn the language they should piss off back to Moronistan

I just searched Hansard for the phrase "good governance principle" as referred to by the appeal judges. It returned zero results in the past 220 years which was surprising considering it is apparently "enshrined in the constitution" (which obviously begs the question of when it was enshrined).

The judgement released on Friday is going to make an interesting read.

Pretty much every legal expert thinks that the Supreme court will side with the verdict of the English courts on this, simply because of the way the law is interpreted in different countries.

However, there's no doubt that this has been a significant, humiliating kick in the nads for Johnson, and is a 'dinnae mess with us' reminder of major constitutional fights still to come.
