Brexit slowly becoming a Farage.

He did play a blinder , try to become our Trump

But I thought he just sounded like a populist smug tit.

He said he didn't want to become PM, and he didn't want to talk about any of his previous policies or views because they weren't relative...yet he he slid in this..

.."if we win the Euro elections he will demand his party (him) are involved with the government in brexit negotiations"

So dont ask me anything about I've said in the past it doesn't matter , yet I want to have a say in what will shape the future of this country!

Farage is the equivalent of Adam Barton.  If Barton were ever to have a good game it would only be because the opposing players were even worse than he was.

The reality is Farage has had to do nothing, May and Corbyn have handed this to him on a plate.  For May that’s understandable; for Corbyn it’s inexcusable.

tbf to Farage, he quite rightly asks for representation due to the proven inability of the governing party to get Brexit over the line, why the f**k we've got a party aiming for Brexit with a REMAIN supporting leader is beyond me.

Reading the comments of Labour Party reps show that they are in denial or are downright liars.

The vast majority of Labour Party voters don’t want Brexit, they are simply refusing to acknowledge this.

As much as I detest the Tory hag, her incompetence and intransigence has saved the country from the disastrous series of events that the cult of no-deal Brexit would have inflicted on us.

So far.

She was as AWOL as Corbyn during the campaign.

Ironically it could be every remainer's heroine Gina Miller that brings us a no-deal Brexit by forcing these "meaningful votes".

It hasn’t though

Given that the choice of leadership is now polarised between a particularly virulent strain of Tory nastiness and Momentum’s idea of a “real” Labour Party it’s hard to argue that the two party system at Westminster isn’t in rude health

The 2 party system has endured for centuries because it’s a product of first past the post elections regardless of the political details of the day.

Even when there has been a massive shock to the system (like universal suffrage) it’s just been the identity of one of the two parties that changed.

Smaller shocks like the founding of the SDP never reach that tipping point and just get eroded away.

What it's done is see a rise in the far right, buoyed by the media, and also by people who know how to prey on the minds of idiots. The only thing I hope for is that we can get away from it before it gets much worse.

It's absolutely been poisoned and absolutely nothing will fix it. The only thing that's going to be decided at this point is the exact way things are going to be fucked up.

Farage can say "we need to leave the EU now" and even if he provides no detail whatsoever people will vote for him.

Once we are out of the EU there will an abundance of tariff-free snake oil.

Just been watching Farage being skewered on Channel 4 news.

This is the kind of stuff that the BBC ought to be doing, but never will.

Andrew Marr did a decent job on Sunday. Watch the full thing, not the Leave.com edit.

The difference is that Ch4 is prepared to do the digging in the investigations, and then show it on the main news.

Whereas Andrew Marr is politics, and a specific reason why I never watch it.  For lots of people , politics programs are a

real turn off. The BBC would be, and is, scared to show investigatory stuff like this on their main news programmes. Anything

they might do would be, and is,  shuffled off/sidelined out to specialist programs like Marr.

Instead, the BBC seems to be more interested in political  love ins...

whether it's Laura Kuensburg almost exchanging knee touches with Boris Johnson,  or from way back,

Nick Robinson at his most cringingly unctuous , at home with the Camerons.

Saw that on Facebook earlier. Some of the comments from the Brexit supporters was quite nauseating, especially if these people are in a silent majority down south. Asking why they were out to get him, why they wouldn't ask about the election, saying that all politicians have ties to dodgy folk (which is a fair enough comment, although most of them don't portray themselves as men/women of the people), going on about pro Remain bias in the media (especially the BBC[sic]) etc. I think I liked the BBC Cymru guy better as he kept it to "policy" rather than verging on what people might call "personal".
