ERG types and Labour MPs from leave constituencies now talking up the possibilities of them backing May’s deal

Plus some mutterings from Barnier that they will have another look at the backstop.

Looking like she might get her crap deal over the line yet.

If anything good is to come from that, it will be powerful and irresistible Scottish demands for Indy2.

As the deal is the 'minimum Brexit' it might be enough to ask for indyref2 but it might not be enough for a yes vote in the referendum.

The deal could be anything from a hard brexit with an Irish solution through Norway plus to remaining. Nothing has been decided or even negotiated on for the final arrangement.

Not quite so straight forward.  The changes the DUP and ERG want, in the way that they want, will not be forthcoming.

Caroline Flint speaks for herself and herself only.  Not many more of her colleagues have spoken out; certainly not the 30 she’s claiming.

On this issue, any Labour MPs who breaks a whip and supports May’s deal should be immediately kicked out of the Labour Party.

Naah.....

If they were to run with a campaign along the lines of :

"Scotland is effectively out of the EU because that's what England voted for"

The chances are that is how it will pan out, and will prove to be absolutely true. Don't you think a majority of Scots would consider that, and vote accordingly?

Unless it harms people’s pockets significantly I’m not sure if people are going to be swayed by that argument. Until a campaign’s launched I don’t think there’s going to be movement anyway.

From memory, there were about 1 million Scots who voted leave. It may be unwise to open an Indy campaign on that basis.

1.6 million voted to Remain

62% Remain against 38% to leave.. I would suspect the gap would be even more if there was to be another referendum.

But it's safe to say that most people feel more strongly about independence and the union than the EU.

The levels of engagement in each referendum are testament to that.

That may or may not be true in a pre-Brexit world. The rules for a post-Brexit world are yet to be determined.
