It was said that there is no way to get sufficient legislation passed which would cover all the bases of the legality of leaving in that time..Meanwhile the Commons has already voted down asking for an extension of Article 50, so....whats next? No doubt they will give her another two weeks to go back to Brussels again with some half baked scheme on the backstop once more, probably involving asking for a border based on technological checks, which the EU will again laugh at...by then the clock is a at 4 weeks..how can a No Deal be avoided now? Was wondering about this possibility as well. Although expecting it be voted down due to it probably being little different from the first time, it might well be that faced with the fudged deal or No deal, that she actually gets the numbers in either two weeks or a month. Cant see any chance of an extension of Article 50 now...2 amendments were proposed to do that on Tuesday, with the Cooper one being rejected, that was the end of that road I reckon. Whether the EU want that or not, arithmetic isn't there in the Commons. 2nd Ref has sailed now...wasn't even selected as an amendment, no chance of that passing parliament. So, its either accept her botched deal or no deal, but probably another month of agony to reach that stage. Remainers say Brexit is all about tax evasion and that is why they're taking us out. Leave voters are full of the MPs don't want us out and are delaying on purpose. You need to speak to Granny Danger who has always been at pains to explain to anyone prepared to listen that a No Deal will not happen. I think he even said at one stage that he'd bet his house on this. If the EU stands firm as I expect it will, then no amount of semantic embroidery will alter the core problem of the Irish backstop. And if the political journalist mentioned above does her homework she'll find that the EU has a very good record indeed of penalty shoot-outs with member states.
