Brexit slowly becoming a Farce.

Maybe I've missed it, but the media seldom appears to venture to council estates in, for example, Liverpool, Manchester or Glasgow to interview working-class Remain voters. Doesn't suit the over-simplified narrative in the minds of producers and commentators, I suppose.

Yeah I see what you mean.

It's always areas like Stoke, Lincoln, Grimsby and the UKIPish seaside towns in Essex.

"Let's speak to Tarquin from Leamington Spa who runs 5 businesses and voted leave in 2016"

That's fucking bonkers. Are they going out to interview people with mental health disorders? I genuinely can't think of any other explanation without coming to the depressing conclusion that the UK, particularly England is simply become a pathetic and racist shitpit.

The telling parts, quoted below, should be bolded, underlines and in massive font. The folk saying this shit can try and dress it up as some sort of economical argument, but it's just simply racism. So many people voted leave because they are racist scum.

But it was worth it, if it meant the UK got control over immigration. That’s why he voted to leave the European Union: “We’ve got too many of them coming over here and I want it to stop.”

'Them'? Who? The use of language here is so telling.

We voted because of immigration and we didn’t realise how poor we would be. It will be terrible but I still want it, because of immigration.”

That's some devotion to racism.

t is something Iraqi-Kurds in the barbers up the road have heard a lot since the referendum. “I was in a nightclub and these two English lads were pretty drunk,” said one barber, who asked not to be named. “They were saying: ‘We’re coming out of Europe and then we can get rid of you.’ I told them: ‘I’m a British citizen.’ I got citizenship 20 years ago after fleeing from Iraq. But they said: ‘It doesn’t matter, you’ve got dark skin.’ My 11-year-old daughter has heard this too.”

Sums up why so many folk voted. Doesn't matter if it's a British person; if they have dark skin the racists want them gone.

Living in multicultural north London, it was hard understand why anyone would have a problem with immigration, she said: “But coming here has broadened my mind … there aren’t as many jobs and many of them are on lower pay.” Adams works in a lingerie warehouse alongside Romanians and Poles: “I used to work at Tesco but they could only guarantee me 12 hours a week. The rest was zero hours.”

As if Tesco would offer more hours if some folk not born in England left. If loads of folk left then it would most likely still be the lowing paying jobs available anyway. This is typical 'blame the immigrants!!!!!!!' bullshit from a horrible moron.

There's obviously a widespread masochistic tendency within the general public.  Either that or a refusal to accept mistakes which amounts to the same thing.  Trump voters in the rust belt, promised new jobs and given hee-haw, say something very similar.

Yup.  This seems to me to be on the money.  The Grauniad clearly has a narrative about who votes for what, and goes out to interview folk based on those preconceived notions.  Then every six months, one online source gets lots of retweets for reporting something that contradicts that narrative, but it also gets passed off as an oddball article.

As I saw on Twitter this week, not many are doing a 'Meet the Leave voters' trip to Sevenoaks, or interviewing the 30% of British Asians that voted Leave, either.

The Government have cancelled their holiday break next week to show how busy they are sorting out Brexit. Except they've got no legislation to pass until they agree on a deal, which won't happen till the week after if at all. So although the staff will have to turn up and cancel holidays etc, the MPs have been issued a one line whip which means they don't have to turn up. I'm sure they've been ordered to keep a low profile in Tuscany though and not be photographed on yachts in the Caribbean.

Noticing a strong correlation between people who advocate a 'no deal' Brexit on WTO terms and people who know nothing about how WTO works.

I hate it when these people also quote sound bites from the press

"We can get trade deals with whoever we want now"

"We'll get our fishing waters back"

Which realistically, will not impact their life in any way shape or form.

I hadn't even heard of the WTO before all this shit began.

Same here.

There was no need to as the trade deals negotiated by the EU on our behalf are infinitely better than baseline trade rules used only by 3rd world countries and micro-nations.

Neither did they. But it's wonderful though. No more being dictated to by foreigners or unelected bureaucrats from Brussels (including the elected ones).

"Them and who" doesn't mean East Europeans but blacks, Asians and Muslims - they are racists or racialists no matter how you paint it

They probably think Pakistan is between Bulgaria and Hungary.
