I’m really talking about the fact that they are not more critical of May.  They should be more critical of May.  Instead they are basically acting as her cheerleaders.

What have you seen on the BBC website that gives you that impression?

Is it because they keep reporting/posting crap like this?

Theresa May has said it is still possible to get the assurances MPs need to back her Brexit deal, despite EU leaders ruling out any renegotiation.

At a summit in Brussels, the UK PM said there was "work to do" but talks on "further clarification" would continue.

They might go a bit more easily on him if he could only come out and offer some kind of an opinion on the Brexit mess. It's like it's the last thing he wants to talk about.

A wee present for you Johnboy.

Corbyn's section is worth reading for his heroic mugging off of Chris Leslie.

I've been reading a wee bit about QE the past couple of days and the ECB has been buying corporate bonds as part of it's program.

So apparently you can get around state aid if you are handing money directly to the richest in society.....

Corporate bonds are loans.

Britain didn’t ask for deal when our ancestors went across the channel and helped chase the Nazi’s out of France, Holland et all so what gives these fuckers the right to hold us to ransom now?

f**k yer deal and f**k yer EU. No deal is coming home!

Which would be closely followed by an Indy2 ref.

Have I got to read through all of that?

If Corbyn said anything significant or even worthwhile there, can you please copy and paste?

What's his plan then? All I get is that he expects to be part of a customs union and closely aligned with the single market without freedom of movement or rule taking, and the UK being involved in EU external trade negotiations. That is seriously white coats removing him from the chamber territory.

To our negotiating partners in the European Union, I say: “We understand why, after two years of negotiations, you want this resolved, but this Parliament represents the people of this country and the deal negotiated by this Government is not good enough for the people of this country, so if Parliament votes down the deal, then reopening the negotiations cannot and should not be ruled out.” There is a deal that I believe can win the support of this House and bring the country together, based on a new comprehensive and permanent customs union with a UK say and real protection of workers’ rights and environmental and consumer safeguards.

Aye but the EU buying up huge amounts lowers the borrowing costs of the corporation issuing them.

Many large EZ corporations - Telefonica, InBev, EDF, Daimler, VW - are being supported this way. It is 100% state aid.

Where would they invest their money instead if they're looking for a low risk return? All Banks do this, including Central Banks.

So what is it is, and how will he be able to secure it?

Firstly apologies if this turns into a tl;dr.

Secondly yes it is.

Let’s look at the context.  May has been PM for 29 months.  She has been negotiating Brexit since day 1.  She finally reached an agreement with the EU that she said was the BEST DEAL possible and the ONLY DEAL and was NON NEGOTIABLE.

She set a date for a vote on this deal despite every indication it would not pass.  She allowed three days of debate then pulled the deal.  She has been back to Brussels THREE TIMES to try to get concessions on a deal that she said was the best deal she could get and has returned with nothing.

Any reasonable media outlet would be calling her out for the absolute f**k up this has turned into.  Given many/most folk never get beyond reading the headlines then the BBC website fails to capture what has happened.

It probably is the best deal possible given her red lines, which Corbyn shares.
