Antlion
Why the f**k does Andrew Marr have the gig of political interviewing? He’s atrocious. He might as well be absent and the BBC just let their pet Tories be given soapboxes to preach from.
Granny Danger
Labour’s announcement that they will call for a vote of no confidence if May’s Brexit plan is voted down is the height of stupidity. By all means they can do this but to announce it in advance is really naive. The Tories are divided as hell at the moment and the threat of a no confidence vote is one of the few things that might unite them. It might even encourage a few to back May’s plan who would otherwise not do so. The really could do with someone to advise them on strategy.

RedRob72
You'd nearly think they wanted May's deal to go through...Yep, as with the SNP (on iRef2) they should just sit tight, wait until the impact of Brexit is fully realised then sweep the board.Who would want to inherit this mess right now!?

O'Kelly Isley III
It’s bad judgement not conspiracy. As is Corbyn agreeing to this televised farce - they should simply have refused on the grounds that as things stand there is no pending public vote and therefore no compelling reason to stage it.

If not, then yes it’s a pointless exercise, in both leaders supporting the same position.

welshbairn
Corbyn has to either relent on freedom of movement, rule taking or a second vote. Otherwise he'll get smashed by May as he has no alternative that could possibly be agreed to by the EU. Freedom of movement is easy, just blame May for not cutting down on non-EU immigration as EU immigration isn't a problem. https://www.ons.gov.uk/peoplepopulationandcommunity/populationandmigration/internationalmigration/bulletins/migrationstatisticsquarterlyreport/august2018#migration-patterns-for-eu-and-non-eu-citizens Edited December 2, 2018 by welshbairn
ICTJohnboy
Totally pointless debate. They both voted Remain, and both are now very anxious that the will of the people should prevail and that we should be coming out of the EU. Corbyn will call for a GE, but he would say that, wouldn't he? This will be a fucking farce of a debate. It could really only be rescued by the addition of some kind of thinking person. Nicola?

Benjamin_Nevis
Corbyn should be embarrassed tbh. He's so shit that the most hopeless PM in modern times is certain she'll wipe the floor with him in a TV debate

Labour clearly favour another general election since it suits their political strategies and they’re better at them. What I don’t understand is why the Tories are pushing for another one which increasingly seems a possibility.
