LongTimeLurker
The sort of thing the Scottish Tories could also be bleeding out of Westminster right now in a way that would probably boost their popularity at the expense of the SNP if they had listened to Murdo Fraser. Sadly I think Rees-Mogg and co are going to sink this sensible open-ended soft Brexit compromise, but fingers crossed. Well played DUP if it works. HTG
If staying in the Customs Union, free movement has to be continued surely? The EU are not going to support something like this without their citizens retaining their rights.
zidane's child
Today/the weekend could be interesting in regards to any ministerial resignations or letters of no confidence being submitted to the Tory chairman.

The penny has finally dropped for May, but I can’t see her getting these proposals past her own party. Resignations and a leadership challenge on the horizon.

Remaining in the single market would mean free movement would continue.

He's trying the full Churchill on twitter but he's getting ignored after losing all remaining credibility on his stint as Foreign Minister. That was a masterly move by May. O'Kelly Isley III
They're not getting the money personally, it's for spending on infrastructure, education, the health service, housing etc, you know the sort of stuff politicians are expected to do for the country. It's not exactly the RHI scheme...As a matter of interest, and ignoring the fact that Foster and Co should have been drummed out of office for the wood-burning pellet fiasco, just who in NI is administering this Westminster bounty ? I mean, there is no Government there in any conventional sense right now.
