Brexit slowly becoming a Farce.

Sorry pal, that a rose-tinted-glasses view.

Corbyn’s ‘Jobs Friendly Brexit’ is meaningless waffle.  The best thing for doing the least harm to most people is staying in the EU and McDonald and McCluskey are ruling that out whilst Corbyn is avoiding the question.

I reckon if that position is held many Labour activists, including Corbyn supporters, will be pissed off.

If Brexit goes ahead then the people who will suffer worst will be the most vulnerable; that’s the folk that those on the left are supposed to protect.

McCluskey is the one banging the drum for keeping remain off the ballot - McDonnell hasn't outright supported that view as far as I can see - although the BBC has said he has. Mind you, the BBC had the result of yesterday's meeting as new Party Policy, when in fact it was an agreement of the wording of the motion that will be put to Conference. If Conference wants a "remain" option, there will be one in the Policy. Similar to the Trident issue, Corbyn or McDonnell's personal feelings do not dictate Policy.

Current Party Policy is to respect the result of the referendum. That may well change. Personally, I think it should change and, far from inciting mass riots and disturbance,  if it came to pass that the decision was reversed many who voted Leave will breathe a sigh of relief that they will not be responsible for the disaster to come.

Let’s wait and see.  All the indicators are that Labour members and voters want that.

I will await the policy with interest.

The full second referendum thing is such an obvious trap.

Corbyn won't be able to wholeheartedly support remain due to his comments about freedom of movement and exploitation and the policies to renationalise the utilities. So he becomes PM and immediately looks like a hypocrite for supporting remain or sets off a split in the party by suggesting a new relationship. And if the side he picks loses he will have to resign.

Leave would have an even stronger case this time. They wouldn't have to lie about the NHS or Turks they would just bang on about not respecting the will of the people. It would be handing the billionaire owned media a genuine stabbed in the back narrative.

It's certainly a debate I'm looking forward to. Certainly the members want it, and I believe the panic of losing "leave" seats is vastly overstated. As it becomes apparent that Brexit is going to cost the economy dearly, even the most rabid working-class Brexiteer is asking themselves who's going to hurt the most. Especially when they see the cúnts like Rees-Mogg and Johnson treating the whole thing like a game, knowing that private schools and hospitals won't be closing, and libraries don't matter a fúck when you can afford to just buy any book that takes your fancy. Who needs Sure Start Facilities when you've got Nanny?

Surely the thing to do is table legislation at Holyrood?

The SNP conference will make their intentions more obvious.

Nicola won't budge on her wait and see regards the outcome of Brexit. We will know soon enough and then she will make her move whether to go or wait....

Labour are fucking hopeless. The Tories have left them another open goal and Labour manage to not only miss it but give away a penalty at the other end.

A chance to actually listen to their constituents and party members and they contrive to bottle it spectacularly and come up with a proposition of choosing bad or shite. Corbyn is a waste of space. He's a pro brexit leader of a party that at its core wants to be pro remain. Can't believe they didn't back a people's vote that included the option of no brexit.

Kinda but rather than run up the other end of the park and score, Watford batter the referee and start dismantling the stadium (but leave the hospitality suite).

BBC HYS is like Gammon Central today - the mindset of some of them is absolutely howl at the moon stuff.

Every day. It's populated by auld fuds longing for the return of the empire and bombing the Gerries. That would sort this whole mess out.

Apparently Keir Starmer absolutely wants the option of no brexit on the table. Has he ever been a candidate for party leadership or look like he wanted it?

He's got no socialist credentials so has no chance.

He has done a good job as shadow Brexit secretary although I suspect he sees it more as a public duty than is  someone who is committed to the Corbyn project.

This would be Sir Keir Starmer, eh so no chance

Serious question as I'm no Labour supporter nor ever have been, is it a problem with his title that you think he represents the elite or are there other political reasons that you don't like him or think his party would never support a leadership challenge from him?
