Only 36.72% of the electorate.  Brexit should be cancelled instead of pandering to the minority.

Wankers that they are,at least they showed up to the polls

If you didnt cast a ballot you have no business complaining about the outcome of the vote

People cant be asked to vote on a deal vs no deal scenario. Its a waste of time. The understanding of what it all means is way over everyones head. The details of trade agreements etc is relevant to about 0.0001% of the population probably.

The details of trade agreements are relevant to 100% of the population. Perhaps only 0.0001% understand them, however.

I'm puzzled as to why Marr thought Rabbi Sacks "Enoch Powell" comment should be "put aside" ?
"Why don't you look into the camera" while I presumably tell you what to say section failed miserably as well thankfully.

I am no fan of Scottish Labour nor the BBC Politics gurus, but Andrew Marr was a disgrace this morning in his attempt to demean Corbyn. I know it's whataboutery, but did he ever ask May to do that following her Grenfell disappearance? He also described the You Gov Report on a second referendum as " propaganda" by the people who paid for the polling. hope he does the same for all other polling. As for Richard  Leonard on Sunday politics it was good to see that words of apology are so difficult to utter re Humza Yousaf that he had a full Theresa May frog in the throat moment. he also says there is "No evidence" of a wish for a 2nd Scottish Referendum -here I am.

McCluskey is a crazy socialist like Corbyn.

He hates the EU, Globalisation and probably would love to live in Soviet Russia.
Its for a different thread, or maybe its own thread, but McCluskey is a fucking dinosaur and holding Unite back from becoming a true force for good. They should be standing outwith politics and party loyalties. Instead the stand behind Labour despite one clusterfuck after another. Piss poor social media presence and public image in general. Has me seething a lot of the time.

McCluskey’s position is beyond stupid.

Some people have a brain the size of a pea.  After we crash out of Europe, will anyone be talking about nationalizing the railways, improving the NHS, employing more teachers and nurses, making life better for millions of people in the UK?

No.  The entire conversation will be about Brexit, our relationship with the EU, our role in the world, our delusions of grandeur, our belief that anybody else in the world cares what we have to say about anything, and maybe some complications in Ireland.

We were asked about the EU back in 2016.  Fine.  How's that going?  Everything sorted out - exactly as promised - maybe not.  More money for the NHS, again maybe not.

Once we are shown what leaving the EU will actually mean - as opposed to all the "snake oil crap" - how is it not democratic to ask if we still want to go through with it.

The choice in the referendum wasn't predicated on a no deal Brexit. Many leave voters expected something like Norway's EEA status, so a second referendum would be reasonable. Problem is  there are only about six months left and Spain can get awkward over Gibraltar before agreeing to any extension to the two years so it's probably too late now anyway.

The EU don't want members leaving so having a huge mess unfold to discourage any future repeat isn't necessarily bad from their standpoint given the UK and RoI will be affected by it much more than any of the other parties involved. If Theresa May is expecting movement from them, she is delusional as to who holds the stronger negotiating position. If the EU doesn't like the Chequers plan they can easily just say on you go then at this point and that appears to be what happened in Salzburg.

Not sure why the leaders of the world's largest trading bloc must show 'respect' to the leader of a deluded, third-rate power who managed to Dundee a general election from an almost unassailable starting position tbh.

You can taste the salty tears.
