Excellent day for LL as Rothes, Clachnacuddin, Deveronvale, Fraserburgh and Nairn were put to flight in effectively a 5-1 aggregate rout in HL v LL clashes.By the sound of it Dalbeattie were unlucky not to have pegged things back to 2-2 and Selkirk went down valiantly to Linlithgow, both playing extended spells with 10-men.

Cumbernauld visit EOSL champions Leith tomorrow.

Beith  6-0  Strathspey
BSCG  3-1  Rothes

A bad day at the office for Vale of Leithen.....they took the lead early on from a corner but EK quickly got back on level terms with the first of two good goals.  Vale then gifted EK a few really cheap goals.....the big number 5 had a bit of a nightmare before being replaced....he may well have nightmares about Joao Victoria tonight.  Robbie Winters played the whole 90 minutes and belies his 41 years.

Can anyone confirm when the draw for round 2 takes place?

The team should travel Friday and stay overnight....nothing worse than a long cramped bus journey before a game and a 5am rise for some of our players....push the "boat" out Gretna.

As a board member i thought you'd have more of an idea than most, are these not the sort of things discussed?

Some great results for the LL today well done all!

That was a nervy one for WW as just couldnt get the second goal to kill it off but held on to deservedly win.

Delighted to be in the draw on Monday at 6pm :)

The draw is on Monday, in the evening I believe.

Cove Rangers are "hosting" it despite not having a ground ????

Wins against teams lying 5th,11th, 13th,14th, 16th in the Highland League, hardly great results

Equally those wins were achieved by teams lying 8th, 9th, 10th, 12th and 16th in the Lowland League... So averaged the places were about even, but it finished 5-1 (with that 1 being HL 6th v LL 4th).

Other significant fact to highlight would be that the only LL teams who lost to non-LL teams were Dalbeattie (v Wick) and Selkirk (v Linlithgow).

Meanwhile only HL teams to win against non-HL teams were Huntly (v Girvan) and Wick (v Dalbeattie).

Finally - number of non-league clubs in R2, by league, since LL established:

2013-14
Highland - 10
Lowland - 7
South - 2
Juniors - 3

2014-15
Highland - 8
Lowland - 8
Juniors - 6

2015-16
Highland - 13
Lowland - 6
East - 1
Juniors - 2

2016-17
Highland - 7 / 8
Lowland - 10 / 11
East - 0 / 1
Juniors - 3 / 4

So for the first time more LL clubs have reached R2 than HL clubs.

Of course HL also provided more entrants (now 2 more).

The Fort William - Brora match is still being listed as a 1-1 draw by BBC Sport. Have to admit I thought there must have been a mistake.

Hawick Royal Albert are also listed as having beaten the pen pushers 2-4.

Inverurie Loco Works thrashed by six goals by Buckie? Are Charlie Banger's Circus really that bad these days?

Some light at the end of the tunnel for Gretna perhaps, who don't appear to have had the most convincing of starts to the season.

What do u suggest happens the lowland teams ask for a re draw so any victory can be classed as decent.....any win that puts u thro in the Scottish is great

Yes after today I don't suppose there's any chance of a bye in Mondays draw :D

A good workmanlike performance from the team and with clean sheets youve always a chance to win games. Apart from the penalty save I don't think Bryan was tested very much.

Mon the welfarrrre!!!!!

How many teams from the SPFL if any are in the round 2 draw HJ ?

The 1st round is always pathetic profile wise :(

All ten League Two teams.  East Stirlingshire, Spartans, Cove and Formartine also enter.
