All for cutting down on the time it takes to play a round, but how about a 4x9-hole tournament instead as an experiment? Or how about just actually implementing proper slow play rules, I'm sure it would only take a couple of players to be penalised a shot or two for the rest of them to get the finger out. Time and again you hear of big names getting "put on the clock" and they don't play any faster and nothing ever happens to them. Even last weekend at Hazeltine some of the foursomes would have taken well over 4 hours to play 18 holes. It's effectively a 2 ball, to take that long is shocking.
