Talbot were a bit more at it tonight but the decision to send our goalie off is a joke and changed the whole game  , it's a yellow card only as the Talbot player was running away from the goals when the collision happened with cover available , if it's central then it's a clear goalscoring opportunity but it wasn't and a yellow card was the call for me ( once again though a huge decision for Talbot at the social club end which seems the normal Down there)

Onto safurday  now .

Says the man who was all over the Talbot V Cumnock thread defending the ref despite not being at the game and both sets of fans saying the ref was poor.

Coming across as a bit of a hypocrite now blaming the ref

Well the far side linesman in coversation with Christie and your number 3 certainly said that the ref was quick with the red card and that a yellow was about right as the guy was going away from goal .

The rules of the game now state if the foul had happened in the box then its a penalty and a yellow card as it was committed outside the box that results in a red card blame uefa or whoever changed the rules not the fans at the social club side

So if for example the goalie has an altercation with an attacking player at the corner flag which of course is outside the box then it's a straight Red card for the goalkeeper as its outside the box.?

Can we just stop blaming the ref as Hertha bleated on the Talbot/Cumnock thread and concentrate on how the teams played and who was better on the night.

Already said Talbot were more at it however the decision to send the goalie off had a massive outcome on the game with it delicately poised at 0-0.

In my opinion it was a yellow card , the ref gave a red and hey ho every tabot fan says its a red and every beith fan that was there said it was a yellow , refs decision is final but it was very harsh for me and everyone who travelled down.

These things even out over the season,  let's hope it happens on saturday.  It's football lads dust ourselves down ready to do battle on saturday. If the players feel hard done by then I expect them too come out all guns blazing at a packed Bellsdale.  A loss away at the bot  2 v1 with ten men is nothing to get worked up about.

Look forward to round 2 on saturday.

The Talbot committee even agreed it was never a red but some on here just can't take the gold and black specs off. There was cover getting back and the Player was going away from goal. The referee even went into his shorts for the yellow before changing his mind.

Even after the red, there was nothing in it until we were chasing the game and got a deserved equaliser.

Looking forward to Saturday!!

Well said mate and some on here are so biased it's unreal , and some weren't even at the game , when the Talbot committee are admitting it wasn't a red card it speaks volumes .

Lot of pressure on Beith for Saturday. Could be knocked out two cups in the space of four days unless the lino and Talbot committee are in charge.

Did the Talbot striker have a clear shot into an empty net if he rounded the keeper? Yes is the answer so the goalie brought him down. If there was plenty cover then the keeper wouldnt need to bring him down. Red card. Move on, these things happen. Onto Saturday.
