Starks Park and Tynecastle had similar set ups... Saw these on twitter earlier this morning - it's Tannadice in 1992 before the arrival of the Fair Play stand and the Eddie Thompson stand. Just wondering what the glass booth and the dugout-style seats with the cover above them were for?

That stand looks like it would be brilliant as it is. I really dislike that end with the seats.

Can remember sitting on a wee foam seat with a plastic poncho getting soaked to skin watching us lose!

I'm sure Jim McLean did tend to sit up there, barking orders down a phone to a fearful bench. I'm sure there was a documentary at one point that showed him shouting "Get Bannon off. Bannon's having a nightmare" into a phone. He was sitting in that daft wee box at the time. Actually, he might have been in a box along a bit, in the stand itself - not sure. Spirit of Barcelona
McLean sat in a box behind the dugout at the half way line towards the end of his reign at Tannadice. The “get Bannon off “ was an explosion of frustration after trying to decide who deserved it most. Jim remains banned by the SFA to this day, a sad post script to the greatest Scottish club manager after Stein and Ferguson..

Flybhoy
A rather bizarre looking temporary directors box for Celtic v Clyde in 1971 as the old main stand is stripped to it's shell for a rebuild in a scene that looks like it could be from Berlin after it was obliterated in the closing weeks of World War 2

Is it true that Celtic Park can boast more pillars than any other top flight club in Britain? There's a quirk for you. Aye and most of them being in the "New" stands.
Ylf
How do celtic not knock that shitey main stand down and continue the bowl? Have they ever had plans for this?

Might be similar to the main stand at Dens in that it's listed? No idea though, just guessing.

I think the main stand at Hampden was listed, as was the Archibald Leitch masterpiece at Villa Park. Both gone

No idea though, just guessing. It’s not and besides they knocked down the listed London Road School building next doo to create more space The closest listed building to Parkhead is this and it’s only category C
