i snapped this example of recycling at Dundee Violet about ten years ago. I was disappointed to go back at the end of last season to see the sign had gone...

Brechin may have a hedge but north junior outfit Burghead Thistle have a forest (land was owned by forestry comission which club used to lease before buying the land from them).

Played on that Burghead pitch.

It was shite but nice surroundings.

So have I , in some over -35s match years ago.

Simmie was playing for the other side , so obviously I was  in awe of him.  Think they were some Elgin based team and at that time he was based in Elgin.

That brings back memories of me as a wee boy freezing, sitting on top of the barriers, getting a heat from a pie in a cardboard wrapper from the Riverside Bakery watching communist teams facing the likes of Paul McStay and Mo Johnston.

In their history Forfar kept having stands blown down, that one (like the 4th Swamp Castle) has stayed up.

So it's fourth time lucky for buildings? Let's hope they don't spend too much on rebuilding the Glasgow School of Art this time.
