Carnoustie Young Guvnor
And Valencia are pish, they sold or gave away half their squad in the summer.
JMDP
Atletico joint top with Real but 2 games in hand. The decision not to award a penalty to Eibar against Real earlier was dreadful, genuinely unbelievable.
JMDP
Huge win for Atletico away to Real Sociedad. Had lost 3 of their last 4 away to La Real but a really good performance - result never really in doubt after Hermoso scored the first. It's good to see a performance like that with both Gimenez and Felix missing, shows the depth the squad has. Puts them 3 points ahead of Real with a game in hand and 6 ahead of Real Sociedad in 3rd with 3 games in hand. Too early to say if they'll win the league but it was clear last season that they were developing into a very good side - Simeone regualrly described it as a transition season. Players like Carrasco, Hermoso, Tripper, Felix and Felipe who joined that season have come on leaps and bounds after that first season whilst Llorente can probably say he has consistently been the best player in the league so far this season. A long way to go though, partido a partido. Getafe next - Simeone has taken charge of Atleti 17 times against Getafe. He has never lost and in that time Atletico have scored 33, conceding 0. It would be very Atleti to f**k up against them now.

Aye big win was keeping an eye on it, think Sociedad's loss at the weekend took the wind out of their sails a bit but still an excellent result.
Carnoustie Young Guvnor
Messi scores his 644th goal for Barca, now scored more for them than anyone has ever scored for any club, surpassing Pele. That's 32.2 goals a season for 20 years btw. And he's 33, tough to see anyone scoring that many for one club again with the way modern football is.

Carnoustie Young Guvnor
Interesting stat Also worth remembering as someone below points out, if you did the same thing for assists Messi easily tops that too.

Can't see that, more likely it was Espanyol. -

(SPOX via 90 min) Gnabry, who was regarded as a total dumpling, has done very well at Bayern since he left Arsenal. Monreal must be delighted that he left for Real Sociedad. Tbf, Arsenal got silly money for Iwobi and sicknote Oxlade-Chamberlain. But they've spunked loads on duds like Pepe, Mari, Saliba and Soares

Good win for Atletico yesterday against Alaves considering the conditions and how good Alaves are taking points off better sides. They've already beaten Real this season and drew with Barca. Once again, Marcos Llorente was fantastic - must be considered one of the best midfielders in Europe based on his performances this year.

Massive late winner from Suarez, also with Real dropping point game before last against somebody they are in a great position. Still think they'll get reeled in but its going to be close.
