Derry Alli
He stills looks about 23, the jammy bastirt. Unsure why they need a €100m buy-out.

Its apparently around the same as Lautaro Martinez is on at Inter. They'll be lucky to get 20 games out Aguero next season. His signing just, yet another, example of them cowering in fear at Messi and bringing one of his mates in. Literally the only club that have accepted a player is bigger than them. 48 minutes ago, Mr. Alli said: He stills looks about 23, the jammy bastirt. Unsure why they need a €100m buy-out. Sure its still a thing that all Spanish clubs have to put some form of buyout clause in contracts. His contract is apparently 50m euros per season, and 2 seasons long, so presumably thats where the figure comes from.
Mr. Brightside
"Cowering in fear at Messi" where was this fear last year when they sold his best mate for f**k all who then went on to win the league for Atleti?

Here, its five million euros per season, not fucking fifty. You were out by a factor of ten you absolute moron https://www.footballtransfers.com/2021/05/how-much-will-barcelona-pay-sergio-aguero Which is less than 100k per week. Absolute buttons for a top club. Fuckin idiot.
HalfCutNinja
Aguero could have got 6-10 times that elsewhere easy. He signed cause he wants to play for Barcelona and live in Barcelona. Man City were paying him way more than double that too btw.
Brummie Clyde
Rayo squeak into the playoffs, after losing to relegation threatened Lugo.Fortunately Sporting Gijon (who have a Millwall like reputation in Spain), lost 2-0 in their final match.Rayo play Leganes away on Friday I think and looks like just 1 leg.The other teams are Almeria and Girona and all seem to be in better form than Rayo.

Still can't believe this walloper thought Barca were paying Aguero a million per week. We're you high when you wrote that? They're paying him precisely a third of what he was on at Man City.
Meatwad
This weekend sees the return legs of the promotion playoffs for the final place in La Liga. Both ties, however, appear to be settled barring any serious collapses. Girona defeated Almeria, who have Rangers legend Umar Sadiq in their ranks, by three goals to nil while Rayo Vallecano defeated Leganes by the same scoreline. The winners, presumably Girona and Rayo, will face each other over two legs, these take place on the 13th and 20th of June.
Brummie Clyde
Rayo went behind early on in the second leg and I was slightly nervous, but ended up winning the match 2-0 and 5-1 on aggregate.1 win away from La Liga again [emoji1696]

Brummie Clyde
Rayo Vallecano back in the top flight, after beating Girona 3-2 on aggregate.Probably do a Derby County from 2007-08, but nice to be up there again.
GordonS
So that's Messi now officially a free agent. An unemployed migrant worker. Insert joke about getting him to sign for your club here.

Mr. Brightside
Carles Aleña off to Getafe, overall it's a bit disappointing how things turned out for him, he showed a lot of promise but got quite unlucky about when he got to a first team age he didn't really get enough chances, a bit like what is currently happening to Puig. I think that could be a cracking deal for Getafe though.

They have also signed Vitolo - became a bit of a joke player towards the end for Atleti but on his day can be a real asset. Looking promising for fans being in stadiums too - got an email the other day from Atleti to renew my season ticket. With a discount for missing the last few games of the covid season, it means that it will be just a touch under 400 euros for all league, cup and champs league games. Can't wait to get back.

JMDP
Atletico confirm signing of Rodrigo de Paul. Fantastic signing - will probably see Saul leave though, possibly in a swap deal for Griezmann according to Spanish press.
