Ter Stegen attempting to get an opposition player sent off by feigning injury (in the 91st minute when his team are losing, btw) and the usual players swarming the referee after the game.

Thoroughly pleasing.

eh?

he got totally taken out for no particular reason by the leganes player who was lucky not to get a red.the only red on display was blood from the keepers mouth

The guy ran into him. Unnecessarily, yes. Get up and get on with it - seconds are ticking down and you're playing for a massive club who are getting embarrassed.

Another excellent use of VAR to disallow Modric’s marginally offside goal. The dinosaurs who would still prefer to ‘give the benefit of the doubt to the attacker’ or other arbitrary tropes instead of easily applying the laws of the game would have brought about an entirely different second half to this match.

football nowadays is full of guys who pretend to be hurt;this wasn't one of those occasions, given the position his team were in at the time if he could have got straight up he would have

Cannot believe Barcelona are top after this round of fixtures; totally undeserved.
Valverde should be binned.

None of the three 'big' teams have really hit the ground running to pull away as you'd expect them to this season. Watched a re-run of the Madrid derby today and neither side looked particularly great. Could be an interesting league this season if none of them start getting their acts together.

Not sure what the issue is with the other two but with Barca it’s definitely Valverde’s tinkering with the team.  No rationale whatsoever.

Decent first half in the Basque derby. VAR penalty for Real Sociedad. Iñigo Martinez almost took the guys head off to be fair. Great play by Munain to start and finish a quick fire equaliser. Just the 6 bookings, five for Athletic

Hoping that Bilbao can get their second win of la liga 2018/19...

No wins in four in the league for Barca.  3 points taken from a possible 12.  They looked a shadow of the team who bet Spurs midweek and bsolutely nothing is coming off for Suarez who looks like he should be rested.

Barca v Sevilla next week has great potential and an away win would not surprise me.

Probably upset that they did not get the game to boost their image in America

If any team was going to whore themselves out for a wheelbarrow full of cash I'd have thought Real Madrid would have been pushing everyone out of the way to get to the head of the queue.

However they have been pretty vocal a few times about the whole La Liga games being played outside of Spain.

Top of the table clash tomorrow at Camp Nou and not sure how it's going to pan out. Barca need to get out their rut soon, but Sevilla are capable of punishing anyone at the moment.

Strange to see the masterclass against Spurs and yet pretty insipid performances in the league.  Valverde needs to put out the strongest starting XI and stop pissing about.  This includes Sergio Roberto at RB.
