La Liga / Copa Del Rey Ole

Hadn't realised Sevilla were so close to the top. Would be nice if they snuck past the others to win it. It'll probably be Real or Barca as per though.
It won't be Barca unless they can turn things around in the Mestalla, Valencia have just gone ahead from a corner with Ter Stegen flapping badly.

Barca hold on for the win.

Sevilla at home to Bilbao tomorrow night, and need 3 points to stay in touch.

Could be a pivotal weekend next week as Barca host Atleti and Real Madrid are at home to Sevilla.

Yeah, next week is huge. For Atleti, yesterday should have been out of sight but somehow managed to turn into an absolute ordeal.

Kondogbia's performance might get him the nod next week against Barca. Problem for Atleti has been goals recently- injuries and loss of form for Felix/Suarez have diminished them as an attacking threat. Correa will probably start up top with Suarez and Marcos Llorente will likely be the main threat (along with Carrasco providing). Llorente has had an incredible season, probably one of the most underrated players in Europe.

Anyway, looks like yet again Real Madrid are coming into form at the EXACT right moment. Favorites for the league and a decent shot at the CL.

Zidane proving everyone wrong yet again.

Sevilla are 1-0 up at half time against Real Madrid. If this result holds we are in for an epic 4 way title battle in the last 3 games. Would be absolute scenes if Atleti, Barca, and Real conspire to f**k it up and Sevilla nicks the title

Wild (but correct) VAR decision in Madrid. Real clear a corner at one end and break the length of the pitch to win a penalty, only for VAR to go back and spot an obvious handball from Militao and give Sevilla a penalty.

Wow, that was mental. Almost like Deeney for Watford.  Such a shame Sevilla lost on Monday or they would be right in the title race now.

Probably left themselves a bit too much to do, but with the way the other three are dropping points you never know.

I can't see it they will still be 4 points back its too much. A win on Monday would have seen them only a point back if they hang on here.

That was also major drama, they were throwing bodies forward chasing the winner and got hit on the break in stoppage time. Absolutely stunning title race its been, so many moments like that. Oblak's late penalty save a couple of weeks ago too, mental.
