Albion rovers are struggling big time. Not so sure bud. Albion may be bottom, but we (Cowden) were terrible in spells last 2 seasons and neither the highland league or lowland league winners could get by us . remember Albion’s opponents each week are of a higher standard. It wouldn’t be a foregone conclusion.

If you look at the players EK have signed the majority have played at a higher level, so it won’t be a massive problem for them. it could be argued that Cowdenbeath were fortunate to survive the 2 play offs against Cove and EK. I don’t see Rovers being as steely as Cowdenbeath were in those 2 games.

peternapper
Having seen Albion Rovers yesterday not sure if its possible for them to get off bottom spot but they certainly don't seem to lack a bit of fight about them & if it continues will not give up their league status easily.

What a debut!! We were on the front foot right from the start and within the first 10 mins there were a few moves that broke down because the pass to or from him was just too far in front of him or just behind him and I thought the lack of familiarity might take a while to overcome. Not so. He was outstanding and ALWAYS on the move. There must have been at least 6 well timed runs in the second half that weren't spotted or acted upon by team mates. We've had a few players at EK with decent pedigrees in terms of their former teams or the level they've played at but in a lot of those cases it just hasn't clicked for them i.e. they can't get involved or make an impact even over the course of half a dozen matches. That can't be said with Cammy.
The_Judge
In good shape in the league BUT anyone making assumptions regarding the play-offs is asking for trouble. Our double header with Buckie was tough going and whilst Cowdenbeath were in utter turmoil we could only match them over 180 minutes. I've seen us play Stenhousmuir, Albion Rovers and Edinburgh City and whilst we've performed well the standard has been much higher than we see on most weeks in the LL. We're capable but the point is that the margins are so fine it often just takes a great bit of skill or a mistake to decide the outcome of a match. You've go to be in it to win it but even if you win the LL title you still face 4 cup finals.

This. We can expect a big campaign urging the whole of Coatbridge and beyond to get behind the Rovers with the aim of preserving their league status. Cliftonhill opened 100 years ago in Dec 1919, etc.

Failed to score in open play v east Stirlingshire.

Kilbyfan
Can’t make saturdays game-work commitments..it’d be nice to beat ICT and get a premiership team-in the next round as bappened before with Celtic-but the league and possible playoffs remain the priority. Anyone know when Sean winter is expected to be back again?
