The Star haven't half started this season with a bang, 3 wins from 3. Fair to say I'm impressed, though there are definitely tougher tests to come.

Went to their game v Caledonian Braves and was fair impressed with them

Great start from Star whats changed since last season ??

Probably a mix of making a couple of decent signings, consistent team selection, couple of early wins on the doors and even though its only the end of July probably got enough points on the board to hopefully be out of the relegation mix. The players now seem to be playing with a bit of confidence and belief in themselves.

Piss easy opening fixtures?

Considering the recent seasons for Star though, 5 wins on the trot in any case is worth noting. I'm sure things will even out, but for sure an impressive start to the season regardless of opponents. You can only beat the team in front of you on the day, and they have done every time.

Heard that the star have had some investment and are offering £200 win bonuses.

Money talks
Who let Steven Murray loose on PnB?

Really hope they can keep it up and throw a spanner in the works. It's nice to see teams with smaller budgets do well.

Our team this season are young and hungry, much more enjoyable to watch.

Nah there's a dafty on the Facebook forum claiming Dalbeattie have had money thrown at them, the shire fans will get that reference but it wasnt serious.

We need more light heartedness on here selfy! Dalbeattie have clearly upped their game with the likes of Currie & Orsi there but to say they've had money thrown at them is baffling!

Na fair fucks to them. I'm really chuffed the start they've made. The LL has become boring the past few years with all the money clubs occupying the top spots. This year all the so called favs have been dropping points and it's setting the season up to be a really interesting one.

Players were told to spend their win bonuses carefully but Lee Wells goes out and buys a Lamborghini and now the secret is out!

Club has had to hire a car park attendant for all matches just to look after the super cars. Dalbeattie's mystery millionaire will not be happy - he wanted complete anonymity. Could be back to the relegation scrap now.

For a couple of games there it looked like the Hype Train had pulled into the sidings but another good win for the Star over GFR midweek. 8 games played, 18 points, 4th in league, still loitering in territory not seen for a few seasons'

First of the "Colts" games tomorrow, would hardly think Celtic will give a monkey's that the Star were 1 of the 5 teams that didn't want them in the League. First competitive game between the teams since the Scottish Cup first round 1934 when Celtic beat Star 6-0 at Maidenholm Park,  Dalbeattie, in front of a crowd of 2,376.  Lets hope history doesn't repeat. Mon the Star

BBC saying Celtic beat Star 6-0 with Abada getting 2, Turnbull 3 and Edouard the other.

No shame in losing if that's the standard of player Celtic are fielding.

Seriously, I thought the arrival of these Colts sides was supposed to be give the Lowland League enhanced coverage on the likes of the BBC.  Instead we get the usual inaccurate pish like this.
