Aguerooooo
If Dalbeattie Stash didn't spend as much money on handouts for players they could've got themselves a decent set of floodlights. Fair play for putting some up but they are not the greatest or the brightest. Bring a torch.

If you had come we might have had some of the chips that are on your shoulder.
DFS69
New PlayersAny new players rumoured to be arriving at Islecroft,And who is staying and leaving from last years squad
Ross O'Neri
Very quiet on the new player front. Most players are contracted until 30th June so presume no official announcements until after that. Little or no rumours either. Leaving is Ritchie Maxwell and Craig Fergusson (retirement) and Danny Dunglinson could be another to go. Lochar Thistle has announced that Lee Wells will be signing for them on 1st July which is a big disappointment but after 6 seasons at Islecroft he maybe needs a fresh challenge. Not heard much else to be honest.

Aguerooooo
Injury is not as bad as first feared seemingly. McMurdo signing will boost the Dalbeattie midfield

Ross O'Neri
Sloan's injury is ruptured achilles - out 6 - 9 months. Trained with Annan with permission of Star so rumours are well off the mark.

He's been at Annan a couple of times before hasn't he?

New manager at Galabank seems to have been trying to get more local talent so he was an obvious target.

Ross O'Neri
Good start to season with narrow defeat to champions East Kilbride followed by win over new boys Edusport Academy. Desperately needing new players to bolster squad but too many seem happy to stay in the comfort zone of the South league. Some have good enough reason not to play in Lowland League but younger players must surely want to test themselves at a higher level week in week out. Agueroooooo will be surprised that despite all the money "Dalbeattie Stash" are throwing at players they still won't sign!
info
The big problem according to players from Wigtownshire is the travel to training & playing..This subject has been well covered in the debate on SOS Shire clubs desire and or ability to join the Lowland League. I can,t, in the present climate see a solution. There are a few players who have managed but it is a very few.Certainly not enough to run a competitive Lowland league team. You have to pee wi the burd ye hae!
Ross O'Neri
Completely understand it for the lads from the shire. However a lot of Dumfries boys would rather play with their pals which is their choice and if they're happy with that then who are we to say.
Aguerooooo
Just home from Dalbeattie game tonight. Certainly deserved something from the game. Bare numbers again. Seems that players don't have any confidence in the management team though. No one interested in signing for Star because of them even after offering big money.

You seem to know plenty of what money is involved here Agueroooooooooooooooooooo, certainly more than anyone I know. Are you a secret agent?
evh78
How is the squad situation at Dalbeattie now does anyone know? When I was there for the East Stirling match 4 weeks ago, they could only name 3 subs, one of which was their manager and I know they had been struggling for numbers.
