This is is the one for Burke, this is where it all falls into place and its been worth the wait. Real or man city bound next.
Lex
He was meant to be our Gareth Bale aswell Another one we were desperate to cap in case England got in there first...Quite a career since. This is his ninth club and he's only 25. -

This is his ninth club and he's only 25. On paper he has an incredible career. A Scottish striker with total transfer fees in the region of £30m. He’s won the Scottish Premiership, scored for Scotland, and scored goals in the Bundesliga, La Liga and the EPL, including winning goals away to Man Utd and Borussia Dortmund. Bit of a shame that he’s dreadful at football, really.

Incidentally, also the match Tierney got his first cap in. Edited February 1, 2023 by HuttonDressedAsLahm

I'd misremembered and thought his first game was the Lithuania home game. Anyway, that was the game that both formed and cemented his reputation as a sprinter/rugby winger who'd landed in the wrong sport

They must see something. Admittedly he hasn’t had a big money move since WBA shelled out £15 million on him 5 years ago, but clubs at a decent level are still taking a gamble on him.

He was like playing with a man down, though the whole team were utter pump that night. I think we then travelled away to play Slovakia midweek, but Burke was sent home for being so shit. ...and we lost timidly 0-3 to Slovakia. Ah, Scotland, with this succession of shitemares you really are spoiling us.

I obviously don’t really know, but a guess would be that him being a physical player who does a lot of running will bump up his stats on any reports. Alternatively/additionally it’s a succession of managers who think that they’ll be the one who moulds him into a player, before realising he isn’t very good. I think they all see him as an impact player with his forrest gump type running ability late in games Would be interesting to see how many starts he's had since leaving Nottingham forest

He's started 65 games in 7 years since leaving forest 9 a season Better than I thought
