Now that he’s with Werder Bremen will he back in contention for the September games?

Just because he plays with Werder Bremen? He is guff. He must have some agent to get him moves like this.

Yes, because he’ll be playing (if selected) in the Bundesliga.

Maybe the Germans can teach him how to play football.

I’ve never really understood how Burke and McBurnie have commanded such high transfer fees.

Combined they have raked in well over £50M.

Beggars belief how these two guys ever managed to get international honours.

Still they won’t be complaining as their bank balances will be very healthy.

It is perplexing.

In fairness they both produced very good results and performances in their early career.

Neither has managed to build on that, and have probably gotten worse. For reasons we could only guess at. Most probably complacency and poor work ethic imo.

But at the time they were brought into the national setup, in comparison to the players they were competing against, they both deserved to be there.

Hes going to drown, fast. If the boy hasn't got the fundamentals down by now, he'll never make it. Happy to be proven wrong.

Your probably right, but people can change and with some players something can click further down the road. Perhaps an attitude and lifestyle change. And he might be a late developer🤷‍♂️

He will probably always be shite🤣 But you never know, hes certainly got the physical attributes. Thats never been in doubt.

They have amassed a total of 1 international goals between them in 29 appearances.

Billy Dodds managed 7 in 26 appearances.

How much would Billy Dodds be worth in todays English market?

He started at Chelsea so would count as home grown. With that in mind about... £30,000,000?

It wouldn't surprise me if he was included in September, but it would strengthen his case if he was getting a decent number minutes with Bremen as a minimum.

Both have got more caps than they have deserved, im not in any way denying that.

Was a shame, i remember seeing Burke at 18/19 for forrest, some supporters saying he could be the next Bale. Went wrong so fast after his move to Leipzig.

Quite simply, he was nowhere near as good as some thought early doors.

Both Burke and McBurnie, or any other forwards at an at least modest level, are only ever a purple patch away from a call up. In recent memory we have capped Kevin Nisbet and Marc McFuckingNulty and our options in backup to Che Adams haven't improved much since.

He had an absolutely barnstorming game against Dortmund and changed the game for them. Sadly that was it. Hassenhutl regretted that Burke wasn't understanding or applying tactical instruction, which is baffling.

His debut against Lithuania is one if the most perplexingly inept I've ever seen. He ran the ball out if play twice and played like he'd been lobotomised.

I still retain hope that he can develop into some kind of agent of chaos we bring on for the last 20.
