Beggars belief how these two guys ever managed to get international honours. In fairness they both produced very good results and performances in their early career. Neither has managed to build on that, and have probably gotten worse. For reasons we could only guess at. Most probably complacency and poor work ethic imo. He had an absolutely barnstorming game against Dortmund and changed the game for them. Sadly that was it. Hassenhutl regretted that Burke wasn't understanding or applying tactical instruction, which is baffling. His debut against Lithuania is one if the most perplexingly inept I've ever seen. He ran the ball out if play twice and played like he'd been lobotomised.
