League 2 Attendances

Recommended Posts

"I think most on here would agree" you may be over sensitive.Until the advantage of a New Years local derby you were trailing us attendance wise but don't let that put you off your crowdwank.Enjoy.

You can't just take away the derbies though

I imagine we will have been your biggest home crowd like we were Montroses too..? Would affect all of us

And it's no bad being Angus top club mate. ;)

It was more "Mexicos" poor attitude i was questioning and it was a good crowd. Also from your "Angus top club" remark i presume you are now following Brechin as league positions would suggest Arbroath are Angus 3rd top club or 2nd bottom top club in other words. If it keeps you happy though[emoji6][emoji6]
I made the Leith to Elgin jaunt on Monday and found Boroughbriggs a not bad ground as well i must say.

What is the record attendance for a Arbroath v Montrose game ? Or Montrose v Arbroath

Dunno in recent times that 1731 is the best, there was a 1400 the day our title slipped away from us under Moore when we were cruising 2-0 to be pegged back to 2-2 and then the penalty miss by us. After that we picked up about another 15 points in 18 games and sneaked in the play off. And of course the day we won the league against them there was 2500

Been upto over 5000 in the past I'm sure

Relichtie is your man for that

The official gate last week was 1,731 and because of segregation they were able to say there were 1,501 home fans and 230 away fans which was the biggest they have brought down in years so well done to them.

In the 60's/70's you had crowds up to 4,000 in those derbies and prior to that crowds over 5,000.

So all 9 1000+ attendances involved an Angus club?

Good work Smokie Bacon.

Credit to Elgin: consistently high turnout. From memory, decent entry price and excellent catering prices, which must help. Always enjoy an away day up the road.
