The 7-0 Club

Recommended Posts

You may only post in this thread if your team scored 7 (seven) goals today.

Dundee and Ross County fans are of course welcome,  but please note that as you are both out of the tournament,  your results were ultimately meaningless.

If we score 7 tomorrow will we get admittance?

Yes. We may have to work out a sort of timeshare deal with you and Dundee, though, as the Club has a limit on the amount of Dundonians who can be inside at once.

Didn't Lochee Harp win 37-0 the same day as Arbroath won 36-0 but the club secretary miscounted by 2.

No. Lochee Harp won 35-0 but there were disputes over two goals, the ref had miscounted and the secretary corrected him.

We also had 7 goals called for offside that the referee said were probably goals, and if he'd been stricter he would've given the score as 43.

It wasn't Lochee Harp. It was a team called Dundee Harp who played at the Harp Athletic Grounds in East Dock Street.

There is no connection between them & Lochee Harp.

Interestingly, they went bust & were reformed as Dundee Hibernian between 1894 & 1896 before changing their name back to Harp and going bust in 1897.

There is also no connection with the Dundee Hibernian that eventually became Dundee United.
