Virtual Insanity
Motherwell TV really is excellent. Thistle have started providing coverage of Development League games but are charging for it, a pretty niche market one would think. Anyway, we beat Aberdeen 2-1 this afternoon. I don't really follow what other development teams do (although Aberdeen had Storey playing today) but we almost never use overage players (as much by necessity as by choice) so pretty pleased with our progress this year. Archie McSquackle
What impresses me from the highlights is the amount of chances we had in addition to the goals and the early disallowed goal which would have been the opener looked ok. Although it did look as thought the Aberdeen defence had given up at a few of the later goals.
capt_oats
What impresses me from the highlights is the amount of chances we had in addition to the goals and the early disallowed goal which would have been the opener looked ok. Although it did look as thought the Aberdeen defence had given up at a few of the later goals. "It could have been double figures" is usually hyperbole but that could have been. Falconer's one that was chalked off, Hastie's 1v1 where he hits the keeper, decent saves by the keeper from Fry & Turnbull.Craigan's post-match interview is absolutely spot on too. ropy
The go pro view from behind the goals is the very definition of shooty in. The rage of the keeper after goals 4 and 5 gives way to an acceptance as the goals rein in.
HibeeJibee
That would be Aberdeen, apparently an automatic shoe-in for the eight-club 'Elite Academy' part of 'Project Brave', 1... Motherwell, hardly mentioned as having a shout to get in, 9. Indeed 3 of 8 clubs currently in the Development League's top 8 - Motherwell, Partick, Dunfermline - are in that boat. 'B' teams in SPFL2 are advocated for the clubs sat 7th & 9th (although granted Celtic have a handful of games in hand).
capt_oats
Worth mentioning that that the Motherwell starting XI was without Jack McMillan, David Ferguson, Dom Thomas and Ross MacLean who despite having first team involvement have still all been regulars at u20 level this season.
