Kieran-The-Fish
Right, big topic close to my heart here - fish and chips after a game! Where's the best chippy you've been to after (or before) a game near a football ground? Trying to find out where the best fish and chips at football parks are in Scotland. Mortar Bored
One memorable Fish & Chips after a game was after a Hearts game and I went to Kitchin, lovely monkfish filet with triple cooked chips, part of a seven course sampler menu, but very tasty. 1320Lichtie
Ashvale in Brechin is my favourite. Plenty of good chippys in Arbroath. Take your pick.
Kieran-The-Fish
Never been to the Ashvale or Kitchin! Any decent chippies in Dundee or Perth - near the grounds? Doing a bit of chippy/ground hopping! Hamilton's another one. Any ideas?

Kieran-The-Fish
Pepos? That much of a definite that yuo'd close the thread?! Surely no better than the Palmerston Cafe in Dumfries? Had many a good meal in there!
Deeboy
Vic's fish and chicken bar is close to Dens and Tannadice and very decent. Avoid Dora's, utter keech.

Is Vic's more of a Dens or Tannadice chippy? get any decent banter in there or is it purely the quality of the fish and chips?!

Used to go to doras some dinner times for fritters. They where not bad. Never had a supper from there though
Hamish's Passenger
Does anybody pick a chippy on the banter quality? I walk in, order a fish supper, pay for it then leave with the goods in my hand. Am I doing it wrong?
Kieran-The-Fish
Definitely doing it wrong! Na - just meaning if anything funny has ever happened. Thought with it being so close to both grounds. I guess chip shops are for chips!

Shandon Par
Can't beat the Golden Chip in Dunfermline. Only black mark for life in Edinburgh over life in the Kingdom is the lack of chippies that even come close.

The Brig's probably too far away to count, but love both chippies!

Marini's in Rosyth is a good spot too and handy for fans going to and from Cowden, Raith and other such outposts. Brig has some pretty funky-shaped fish - like they've deep fried a frisbee. GordonD
In Edinburgh, the Cafe Piccante in London Road, so okay for Easter Road and Meadowbank. Their steak pies are the best I've ever tasted and the fish suppers are excellent as well, though maybe a little pricey.
