Why do I get notifications for stuff I have no interest in?

Because you are following other members (these used to be friends but they were converted to members you follow during the recent upgrade).

Go into your profile and check who you are following or go into your notifications and manage what you are alerted about.

Let me know if that helps.

In a thread itself the small post numbers can be seen well

The little blue markers you see in a forum view are indicating new content in those topics. Looks absolutely fine to me mate !

Thanks, I thought I may have been missing something, but on closer inspection you are right. I even thought they were black - I'm overdue an eye test.

Is this a bookmark you have or a dead link on the P&B homepage?

Not a book mark, no. It appears to be a dead link when you sign in on the P&B homepage. However, it didn't happen today, so I assume it's since been fixed.

Again with the unwanted notifications, this time some nutter spamming the board. Had about 20 this morning.

Are you following the Premiership section of the forum?

Can you post a screenshot of your notifications settings in your profile?

We will deal with the spammers!

If it's available then I think you should implement a limit on how many topics a user can start in a specified period of time or not allow new users to start a new topic until they have 5 or 10 posts under their belt.
