The Ilford Drummer
so we have heard about Kilbirnie, Beith and the Meadow doing work on the drainage of their pitches. I'm sure the Ford have similar plans which have not been made public yet. or maybe keep the dough for Hendo to splash!!

Hertha/BJFC1938
Had a look at the meadow pitch on Saturday. Stunning! Back to its heyday. Going to miss visiting meadow park so much next season as its a good venue and the pitch has been amazing the last decade or so despite its wee lull of late. Good to hear junior teams are always trying to improve their pitches as its also a huge factor in terms of fixture backlogs when games are always being postponed . Our club are playing every pre-season fixture away from home due to essential drainage work on an area of our pitch and it should be well worth it when the improvements have kicked in. Does the slanted pitch not drain well enough? 😜 just kidding visited Bellsdale last month vs Auchinleck Talbot and thought the ground was cracking! Brig O'Lea's looking great after another major top dressing of sand and the goalmouths are being re-turfed. Should be like a bowling green for the first game against yourselves on the 27th July! Sancho Panza
It's a huge outlay for the clubs involved and a big well done to all who have put this ahead of the playing budget.
