We could have but so could several other clubs. We could also have won the league with the squad we let go who didn't cost anywhere near this one. Fact is the performances didn't match the ambition. We sneaked a draw at home on Saturday with a last gasp own goal against meadow. When we last played meadow in this fixture we won 4 0. standard of junior football I feel has been underestimated by some players and coaches. People looking at league table say we are doing well. We work hard as a committee  like many other clubs we gave these guys an opportunity which hasn't worked out so we cut our losses for same reason we took a punt on these guys for the good of the club.

At end of day if commitee don't feel it's working they move on ....didn't need to explain ,they have and moved onwards and upwards so fair play!!!

Is it really a disgrace for shetttleston or anyone else to sneak a last minute draw against Irvine meadow ?

Wouldnt have thought that was a damning event to happen , just because shetttleston beat meadow 4-0 prior to it doesn't mean that Irvine meadow are cannon fodder and a draw against them is that bad really , more so when your club are sitting high In 2nd place in the league.

Yes we have high expectations and why not? Fact is we didn't just lose to Kilwinning we were embarrassed! We have already spent more this season than we have for any other complete season. Yes we have one defeat but we have four draws and have to play 5 of the top 6 away from home in coming weeks and we have not been playing well considering what we have paid out. If we did get promotion what do we do then find another load of money to try stay up because the Kilwinning result proves we wouldn't be good enough. We have seen teams suffer from this kind of short term fix over the years. We tried it other clubs be warned it rarely if ever works.

You beat us 4-0 last season because our squad was complete dung.

Got a text from a mate of mine saying a few players have left as well as management. Greig McDonald, Stevie Logan, Josh Horne, Jordan Halsman, Jordan Morton.

Is big Hutch, goalie coach, away as well as Peter and Ryan? Enjoyed the clips

on Shettleston TV. The co-managers came across very well. Just the right type

of guys you could work with. Wish them well.

Hugh Kelly?

He doesn't want it. He had part in bringing in Peter and Ryan and Reo before them and doesn't feel it would be right . The post has been advertised and there's been dozens of applicants. And for the record Budgie isn't one of them and we heard he wants a break from football.
