Holland changed keepers in a world cup game for penalty shoot out in south africa

Forfar WE changed goalies last week in the shoot out. Needless to say he got nowhere close as the baw flew passed him 4 times, and the post stopped the other one.

I see a lot of Glenrothes fans delighted with the appointment of John Martin...well from the viewing on Saturday you are in for a long hard season! Downfield never got out really got out second gear on Saturday and the result never looked in doubt.

Although his first game in charge the team looked to have no real shape / organisation about it. Whereas in the games between the two clubs last year there seemed to be a lot more desire / purpose about them. (although that's simply a view from the terraces and from a junior football fan who doesn't see then Glens that often).

After the first goal went in on Saturday, Glenrothes seemed to turn on each other, arguing amongst themselves etc. something which will need to be nipped in the bud if they are to progress on under the new management!

Martin will also have to remember he is now the manager setting an example to his players...kicking boys (mainly the Downfield centre half) off the ball on various occasions isn't really setting the correct tone! Nevertheless...all the best!

Need to wait until jono has his own team on the park before judging him he hasn't exactly been left with  much to work with, if the showed desire in the two games against downfield then it's be lacking ever since , previous management team stood on the sidelines clueless and were given plenty support to bring in players to strengthen team pre season but failed

Mr Motivator...

I obviously don't know what goes on behind the scenes but seems a harsh comment stating that the stood there clueless...considering they got you guys promoted at the first time of asking?

Anyway...good luck for the rest of the season!

Pretty sure Haddington could have scored about 6 too.

One chance at one nil, nothing for the rest of the half. One more chance in the second half before you went 4 nil down. Two or three good ones when the game was already lost. Bathgate denied a stonewall penalty in the first two minutes as well. No, you were well beat in my opinion. Your goal was spectacular though.

At KSH game ysdy and deserved 3 points. The referee did his best to effect the result but star dug deep to secure the victory with a late goal after being reduced to 9 men in the space of 2 minutes while cruising at 2-0. Some of his divisions were baffling to say the least, and could have changed the result, but luckily didn't !

Going to go down to watch Tranent game, apparently they were unlucky last week against Forfar, how do we think they will get on against Arniston who I'm led to believe are a pretty decent team?

Tranent 0 Arniston 1

Definitely a game of two halves with Arniston controlling the 1st period with Tranent coming on in the second.

A good win for Arniston considering we were missing two key players in Danny Thomson and Kev Moffat. We do not have a deep squad and the young lads who came in to replace them ground out the result.

Felt sorry for Guy Kerr being sent off in the 2nd half for Tranent. A bad challenge but a booking would have been fair punishment.
