A great first round for Scottish football so far assuming no one fucks up! It'd be great to see all teams involved progress further than Round 2 and maybe even beyond.. how would all clubs doing well affect the coefficient?

It'll be slow progress unless someone in the EL can actually reach the Group stage.

It's too early to say but it could be possible to get our best result in 5 years if one team makes it to the EL 3rd round and Celtic make the CL group stages.

One more win for either Rangers or Hibs will see this season's diddy contribution exceed that of 17/18. I think Celtic will struggle to reach the CL group stages but should be a stick on for the Europa League where they should pick up a couple of wins to offset the 1.000 point awarded for CL qualification.

A season's total >4.500 should be considered a success given how poorly our clubs have performed in recent years.

Scotland need to push for a 5.000 each season, extra games extra points,i'll say it again each team should try to win 4 games, fed up with Celtic picking up the slack.

We haven't exceeded 5.000 for over a decade. Celtic's contribution, post group qualification, has been disappointing when you consider the resources available. While I don't expect much from a CL campaign, you've underperformed in the Europa.

Not quite. Aberdeen got 2.5 last season and Rangers got 1. 2 away wins (achievable you'd think) would be enough.

Stop pointing the finger at the only club that qualifies for the group stages and look at the 4 clubs as one in a European context.

My apologies, last season's didy contribution was 3 wins & 1 draw (0.875 points) Two more wins would exceed this. Have a soylent.

Look at my OP, I'm not pointing a finger at one club.

I'm pointing multiple fingers (which you'd know all about, paranoid arsehole.)

Where in your last post did you mention any other club other than Celtic?

Do you get more points based on the quality of the opposition or the strength of the league they play in? So, for instance, would Aberdeen get loads of points if they beat Burnley or would it be just the same as if they had beaten some mob from Estonia or wherever?

Don't forget 'Govinda Tattva'.

Well, the truth may come in strange disguises.

3 wins in a week for Scottish clubs in Europe is certainly that.
