Remember Bobby McCulley playing for us, also Brian Scrimgeour for a short period.

I was at that 6-0 Rangers win at Telford Street versus Caley. My uncle supported the old Rangers and took me along. Remember Bobby Williamson up front, Davie Cooper on the wing, and Peter McCloy in goals. He was launching the balls ridiculous lengths, right into the Caley box when kicking from hand.

Sorry for dragging it even further o/t, sorry Shire fans, if you click on my Caley page there's photos from that game, Billy Urquhart lent me his scrapbooks.

Just before HT the live score page on the LL website claimed it was CSS 2-7 East Stirlingshire and Selkirk 22-11 Stirling Uni. "More technical problems by the looks of it" says I to my companion at Meadowbank. Lo and behold...

However today wasn't the 'most goals', 'highest scoring' or 'largest winning margin' match in LL history:

21 Sep 2013 ... Dalbeattie 9-1 Selkirk
19 Oct 2013 ... Preston 2-9 Whitehill
07 Dec 2013 ... Spartans 11-2 Selkirk

13 Aug 2014 ... Gretna 6-0 BSCG
06 Sep 2014 ... Selkirk 7-0 Gala
08 Nov 2014 ... Preston 6-0 Threave
22 Nov 2014 ... Gretna 6-0 Preston
20 Dec 2014 ... Selkirk 1-9 Gretna
07 Jan 2015 ... Edinburgh City 7-1 Preston
10 Jan 2015 ... EK 7-0 Preston
11 Jan 2015 ... Stirling 7-0 Threave
17 Mar 2015 ... EK 6-0 Selkirk
28 Mar 2015 ... Whitehill 6-0 Threave
18 Apr 2015 ... Dalbeattie 6-0 Preston

10 Oct 2015 ... Dalbeattie 7-1 Threave
31 Oct 2015 ... Preston 2-8 Edinburgh City
28 Nov 2015 ... Preston 0-7 Spartans
27 Feb 2016 ... EK 6-0 Edinburgh Uni
19 Mar 2016 ... Gala 7-0 Vale of Leithen

Since they beat Brechin 8-2 in 1962.

What's this? Someone else answering the Horn of HibeeJibee? Lazy old sod's subcontracting now - typical!

Wow, as far back as the promotion season under the Steedmans? The year Morton scored a hundred goals & still stayed down (only to do better in both the next year).

That really isn't healthy. The league is too big, the gap between top and bottom is huge with some real dross in there. It's not just teething problems either, looks like it's getting worse as time goes on.

Isn't there huge gaps between every other league in Scotland from premier to SPFL 2 though ?
