the only one in denial here is you halfwit, no matter how much you trumpet this pish, the facts dont back you up , heres lord banntynes verdict from that case confirming club and company are seperate and the club was sold from oldco to newco, run along now halfwit 😎

"During the 2011/2012 season of the SPL, the football team commonly called “Rangers Football Club” was owned and operated by The Rangers Football Club Plc, which was a member of the SPL Limited.

[21]      The Rangers Football Club Plc ceased to be the owner and operator of a football team in consequence of the sale to SEVCO Scotland Limited by its administrators on 14 June 2012 of substantially the whole of its business and undertaking, including Rangers Football Club.  "

The last name change was RFC 2012 plc strange name for a club over 100 years old.

Paragraph (45) is my favourite one it goes like this: Rangers FC ceased to be a club as defined in the rules.

Rangers cheated, then they died.

Exactly.

You would think a dead club wouldn't still be pursuing the tax authorities years after liquidation but there are many wealthy people who got caught out with the Rangers case. In winning a lot of rich people suddenly found themselves liable for a huge amount of back taxes.

You can see it on Twitter with the hashtag LoanChargeScandal.

There are many people with vested interests in helping DeadCo beat the taxman and avoid their own huge bills.

Quote

The loans were never intended to be repaid resulting in the tax office treating them as tax avoidance, although campaigners maintain the loans were legal.

The process was above board for the years it was used until HMRC clamped down following the bankruptcy of Rangers FC, which had been operating a similar scheme.

This led to widespread action and the process was outlawed, but HMRC chiefs also retrospectively applied the law meaning they pursued people who used a loan payment scheme when it was legal.

Romeo's post is actually real.

Many thanks Jim. I would have been able to respond to this sooner but your team spelled my deputy's name wrong so he did not get the email, as promised

We stand by the article. We reported HMRC was reducing the size of its EBT claim and was being blamed for its part in the club's downfall. We highlighted claims the EBT liability made it extremely difficult to sell Rangers
