gannonball Posted January 1, 2020 Share Posted January 1, 2020 (edited) Tavernier is excellent at set pieces and and is very good a going forward but as a full back defensively he is heavily flawed with Europe proving his shortcomings which is why I doubt any EPL club will ever come calling for him unless he is out of contract. Giving him the captaincy was a bad decision. He’s not even disciplined enough to sort himself out let alone others. I can see why they gave it to him to try and take a bit more responsibility but he's not a captain in my eyes. Lots of players end up at Celtic and Rangers these days and stay because they have a significant flaw that means they wont make make the jump to the English premiership. Tom Rogic being one for us due to his lack of fitness which he struggles to last more than hour in games effectively. We can manage it and get away with it but he isn’t going to be picked up by a lower premier league club who cant afford that type of passenger at times.
