Tavernier is excellent at set pieces and and is very good a going forward but as a full back defensively he is heavily flawed with Europe proving his shortcomings which is why I doubt any EPL club will ever come calling for him unless he is out of contract.

Giving him the captaincy was a bad decision. He’s not even disciplined enough to sort himself out let alone others. I can see why they gave it to him to try and take a bit more responsibility but he's not a captain in my eyes.

Tavernier looks alright for a dominant side in Scotland.

He'd be eaten alive in the EPL, and by the better Championship sides.

He'll be at Rangers for the majority of what's left of his career.

Tavernier can't defend. The left back is much much better. Slavic guy.

And this.

it’s really not complicated.

He's played nearly every minute in the best defence in the league. We've only conceded 7 goals in our last 15 league games. It's a total myth.

RANGERS face a fight to keep Glen Kamara this month after Sheffield United became the latest English side to show an interest.

Arsenal, Brighton Crystal Palace, Burnley, Aston Villa and Championship big guns Leeds are also amongst the clubs tracking the Gers' bargain- buy midfielder

He gets away with it because of the lack of quality in our league but you cant say he is decent at defending.

Lots of players end up at Celtic and Rangers these days and stay because they have a significant flaw that means they wont make make the jump to the  English premiership. Tom Rogic being one for us due to his lack of fitness which he struggles to last more than hour in games effectively. We can manage it and get away with it but he isn’t going to be picked up by a lower premier league club who cant afford that type of passenger at times.  Tavernier is the same albeit for a different reason.

Frimpong that has been getting raved about at Celtic is exactly the same as Tavernier.

A bizarre claim, Frimpong has played about 10 senior games.

A very promising individual versus a guy who is about 10 years older than him.
