AJF
Gio's job becomes a little tougher after that result now in order to get the lift that we desperately need before yet another massive fixture on Thursday - the biggest cliché in football but ignore the run of fixtures coming up after that, for now. Goldson's post-match comments confirm what many of us have thought for a while now, that there are players in that squad that feel their job was done as soon as we clinched the title last year. Gio needs to try and beat that mentality out of them. Edited November 22, 2021 by AJF

Unfortunately he'll have to do more than that ajf........,he'll have to get shot of some of the Gerrard fanboys in the dressing room to free up some capital to bring his own guys in. Too many of them didn't look interested, they're pal Stevie was gone and they're like, fook this,no interested..........

Although a lot of these players were phoning in performances this season under Gerrard too so it may not just be a case of not playing now that Gerrard is away.
Whitburn Vale
No argument on the drop in the standard of they're play, from last season to this one,but it was particularly telling yesterday......Tavernier,Goldson,Morelos,Barisic and Kent in particular looked like they'd rather be somewhere else............ If they think Gerrard's going to send a minibus to pick them up from outside Ibrox they'd better think again. One, maybe two of that lot at a push.

The Other Foot
As much as he can blow hot and cold, Morelos could easily play in the Prem. Spoiler Porto will be blowing him kisses from the Man City back line, as he sits and scowls on the Norwich bench.

Most if not all could easily play at that level it’s just whether they would be any good at it that’s the issue. ETA - Of course nobody would ever want to willingly leave the Rangers unless it was for a really really really really really big club. House Bartender
GVB will doubtless take out the deadwood and have a New Year bonfire of the vanities and keep those who are committed and able. Salvage what he can of this season (it's no mah fault, it wiz him) and have his own team and style for after the summer. We all wish him well. Or not. That'll be "not".

We'll need to give him a few years to rebuild, we can only hope that we can manage to get a European place. Sell who we can in January and try to get a few players in who want to be here. Not much that we can do about the defence right now.

His remit taking over a team that are the current champions and 4 points ahead in the league will be to win the league and secure a Champions League spot Any other outcome is failure

Anyone can see that we'll need to rebuild and that will take a few seasons, perfectly acceptable.
