Mind blowing utterly disgraceful scenes. Will the authorities do anything, why of course not it’s Rangers.

Perks of being the Establishment club.

A matter of time until we get a thread full of drydicks telling us that we simply must CONDEMN this behaviour and don't we realise just how much the middle classes have had to SACRIFICE during this pandemic?!

We're down their cavorting and celebrating and they're still trying to get refunds for their 2020 summer holidays to Tuscany.

Celebrating outside is significantly safer than a lot of those activities. It’s not about giving up good times in some warped show of national unity or wartime spirit, it’s about assessing risk. The whole point of these restrictions are to minimise risk, not to stop people having a good time. The assessment shows that outside celebrations are safe, so we’re going to do it. If you think some of the other things are equally safe, that’s an issue to take up with your MSP.

Again, people are going to criticise us regardless, because people don’t like us. May as well have a good time and justify that criticism.

Majority of your support are brain dead Zombies.

Imagine beating your own supporters up in the middle of the street when your team have just secured their first major honour?

Even the last time you came close to winning a major honour your fans started fighting Hibs fans at the Scottish Cup final in 2016.

But then the old club fans had a shameful history both home and abroad. Is it passed down from generations?

Riot at Aston Villa 1976

Riot at Chesterfield 1980

Riot at Hampden 1980

Riot at Manchester 2008

Riot in Glasgow 2012 when your club died.

OK I made the last one up, but there is a common theme.

When your club needed you most there was no fighting spirit amongst the fans to save your club. You will be forever remembered for being the fans that let their club DIE.

I suppose - at the very least - fighters were all able to defend themselves.

Unlike in this poor, sad story ;

Aye. Mind the explosion in the virus transmission the last time it happened!

100%.

All the evidence we have to date shows that outdoor transmission is so unlikely that people basically don't have to account for it. Outdoor activities are effectively safe.

Most of the whining about this on this forum and Twitter comes from the fact that both sites overwhelmingly skew in favour of the middle class, and most of them simply cannot stand the thought of the "underclass" getting to enjoy themselves and have a good time while they aren't. All of the arguments about COVID transmission etc, based on the data and information we have now, are in bad faith.

Actually, this is EXACTLY what it’s about. It is about forgoing things that, in isolation may have little risk attached for the greater good. If there’s a 5% chance that doing something will lead to you catching COVID then you may think that’s a chance worth taking. But if the entire nation of approximately 6million people did it the numbers would soon add up. Of all the birthday parties, funerals, weddings etc that have been cancelled or postponed a high percentage would have passed without incident. But there would have been some that didn’t, and they would have had the potential to set the nation back considerably.

And what makes the average person on the street sufficiently qualified in either infectious diseases or risk assessment to decide if a risk is worth taking? The government decide that. And at the moment, mass gatherings are still banned as a result.

Well, you've got one thing right. Sevco fans are certainly an underclass.

This kind of post just proves it. All of these arguments simply boil down to "They *** b*****ds are pure scum and I can't stand the fact that they're having a good time"

Tough break mate. I'm afraid you're just going to have to swallow it.
