That figure can't be right, even if there was competition to sign him I still can't see us paying that.

Agree. I'd have thought it would be around £5k as it would be around double than any other Scottish side (bar Celtic) could pay and enough to turn his head.

£15k per week is a lunacy too far even for Rangers*!

So are Rangers lining up Greg Stewart to be Morelos replacement?
No offence to Greg but he's not exactly a great start back at Aberdeen.
Would Rangers not be better off breaking the bank to bring in an international player of world class quality, you know to take that step forward in catching Celtic and in turn keeping the fans happy?
Wait that's rubbish, Rangers don't have a bank account.
Bringing in the likes of Kamara, Jones, Stewart and Hastie isnt going to win them anything. All are decent players, but none have ever given the merest hint of a suggestion theyvwill be good enough to give Rangers their first trophy.

£38,000 a week plus win bonus is the number rumoured.  Seems cheap, IMO.

It’s s well known fact that only SSC can get him to play properly

Slippy couldn’t get Messi playing good football

Stewart would be fine at Rangers if he's given the right strike partner.  Somebody who will play on the shoulder of the defence and try and get in behind.  Morelos would be a great partner for him.

Sevrumour that we've signed Greg Stewart on a pre contract.

From Sevco’s favourite news source, BBC Scotland Sport -

Hearts have confirmed the signing of Livingston captain Craig Halkett on a three-year deal.

The 23-year-old centre-back has agreed a pre-contract agreement and will move to Tynecastle at the end of the season.

Halkett has made 36 appearances this campaign, scoring five times.

Hearts manager Craig Levein said: "He's a talented player and is at an age where he can continue to develop and progress. This club is the right place for him to do so."

Halkett, who switched to the West Lothian club from Rangers in 2016 but is out of contract this summer, helped the Lions to back-to-back promotions and has played a key role this season with Premiership safety virtually guaranteed.

He has been capped by Scotland at Under-19 level and has racked up a total of 144 appearances for Livi, scoring 15 goals.

Oh, Bennett.........

ETA - Of course, it could be an April Fool of quite epic proportion if this turned out to be Levein and Budge trolling the shit out of Sevco.

If only.

Reports from the record that we're signing Bachman from Watford.
Good signing for your mob if it's true, will be a sad lump seeing him play for anyone else up here. Best keeper we have had since Lekovic in my opinion.

Signing Jones, Stewart and Bachmann would be nothing more than an attempt to weaken teams around them.

Yep, surely the aim is to catch Celtic, not just to widen the gap between 2nd and 3rd/4th.
