Gerrard.
Positives- lots of experience, won a champions league, great press conferences, good contacts, is ambitious.
Negatives - has signed a lot of shite players, can't change a game during the game, doesn't seem to think that managing rangers is a big thing, doesn't hold a great record, not great at seeing out points with 5 mins to go.

Compared to the level in which Gerrard has operated managing Rangers is no big thing. He probably has to convince himself it's on the same level as Frank Lampard at Derby County.

Other than number of supporters Rangers' claim to be swimming with the big boys is entirely spurious.

But that’s the variable that defines big above all other. Crystal Palace may have a budget that dwarves Rangers and more fans around the world, but nobody would say they’re bigger than Rangers, or Celtic for that matter.

Maybe some folk would [emoji848]

But that budget makes all the difference.

Rangers are signing players from the bargain basement. They are reliant on loans, rejects and make-weights.  Not one of their players would get close to a starting place in a tier 2 EPL team never mind tier 1. They are competing for players with English Championship teams.

All hardly surprising as they are reliant on ticket sales as a main source of income.

I’m calling BS on that. Dundee are a big team compared to Forfar in everyone’s eyes and no one is thinking of our budget compared to Forfar’s.

No wonder P&B is going down the shitter.

Yet you are the only person that seems to have noticed/feels the need to spout that line at every opportunity.

Wonder when it started going down the shitter.... Shortly after the last time Div told you to GTF for whining like a wee lassie about *****'s perhaps.

Stupid ***

After a poor result he tends to just start throwing insults around and slags the site in general.

We've a tough fixture coming up preceded by a game against Hibs.  The optimist in me still thinks we're on for 15 pts.

That’ll be twice in quick succession that the **** have failed to defeat a depleted Hibernian side. Some difference Stevie G has made.

I stand by my view on the subject, weak people self indulge, strong people self reflect. Not being able to give serious thought about your actions and how they impact others is not an illness, it’s selfish.

I'm not even angry with you, just sad that you didn't have the understanding to be able to help someone close to you.

Crowd doesn't define size, otherwise Dortmund, Schalke and Benfica are amongst the "elite" clubs in European football.

But they would all be defined as big clubs by any measure. Its just that their support doesnt have the same neediness to be seen as a big club, or to insist that they are the worlds most successful, or to labour under the delusion that the entire globe cares about their bigotry fuelled rivalry with the other cheek.

Those clubs and their fans are probably much more comfortable in themselves than the utterly delusional rabble that attach themselves to Sevco and gobble up the seething, dog whistle shite spouted by Traynor every other week.

I don't have any difficulty at all in saying that Rangers is a very big club, because it is one.

And besides, playing that down makes their continuing failure less funny.

Their club is big but their minds are small.

Their honours list reads Scottish League Two, Scottish League One, and the Scottish Championship.

They have multiple campaigns in the Championship, and have never finished in the top two in the Premiership.

What's special about that?

Actually don't answer that, the way you whimper around Rangers threads constantly probably explains why you're calling them a massive club.

Two Championship campaigns surely, as opposed to "multiple"?

You seem somewhat ignorant about the matter.
