The SPFL Computer has been kind to us and we have 3 away game post-split:

Rangers v Hearts – 1-0
Celtic v Rangers – 3-1
Rangers v Kilmarnock 0-1
Aberdeen v Rangers – 1-2
Hibernian v Rangers – 3-1

2nd is clearly in our own hands but I reckon we'll be lucky to get 8 points.  Anyone else more of an optimist?

6 points for the anti-Scots imo.

That's a huge blow, he's been one of our best players and a solid defender.

Absolutely criminal that our board let him go to you for no fee and a loanee in return who ended up plying his shitey trade at Annan...

Criminal that ours couldn't keep him. Nothing fancy about him but he could defend.

He’s played 8 games this season.

You actually went and counted how many games he played:lol:

Rather bizarre move, fair play to him though.

Hamburg seem to have a UK based scout, sure they've signed a couple of young English players lately

Wish him well. Always like to see Scottish players going abroad, and it's definitely a big club to try and learn at. They look like they're about to go down, but a year in the second tier to establish himself in the team and get used to German football will probably be a good thing.

Transfermarkt is also quite useful.

As is Soccerway, which I find is very useful for stats.

Anyways this looks like a good move for Bates, don't have much of an opinion on him but last year was one of their few competent performers against Celtic, especially the 5-1 win at Ibrox but Hamburg are one of those big German clubs that are having a bit of a hard time. If they go down then he could get some good game time next season.
