So comparing Hearts' situation where a quantified  debt with an accepted CVA and a sugar-mummy (not the fans) to pay the price and Ranger's situation with unquantified debt and a belligerent creditor who rejected a CVA for other reasons  is invidious.

It may be that the circumstances surrounding the debts at Rangers and Hearts were different. I don't know. But I do know that Rangers fans falling back on that as an excuse for doing  nothing to save their club is cringeworthy. Whatever the mountain of troubles that faced Rangers, their fans kept their hands in their pockets.  However hard it might have been to save Rangers, their fans didn't try. By any measure, they did let their club die.

Short of raising over £100m to make both tax cases disappear, I'm not sure what else most Rangers fans could've done. I think we raised just over half a million through the poorly organised RFFF, which was obviously never going to be enough. Diddy fans boasting about "saving their club" is laughable. There's no comparison to be made, but I think most normal people realise that.

In other news, Atletico at around 2/1 tonight looks like free money, assuming they bring a decent team.

Not enough “company” in this post.

What did  you buy with  your free money?

Serious question, why would anyone who isn't a supporter make a major investment in a Scottish team?

Without accessing the latter stages of the Champions League there's little profit to be made.     Revenue streams from the media and advertisers are minimal so I fail to see the motivation.

Don't think you'll be challenging any Professors with this effort m8.
