Defoe, Edmundson and Jones the notable absentees from our Europa League squad submitted today, down to the lack of homegrown players limiting our numbers.

Other than that, no real surprises. Zungu straight in.

Frustrating that our inability to produce homegrown players through the Club has led to that situation.

We need Patterson, Mayo, Kelly, McCrorie etc to start coming through. The situation will only get worse when McGregor retires.

Surprised that this hasn't been covered by our green and grey friends.

businessman Stuart Gibson has made a £5million investment in Rangers to become the fourth largest shareholder at Ibrox.

Documents lodged at Companies House earlier this week showed that £8million worth of shares in RIFC plc had been allocated and Gibson is the main money man behind the transaction.

Gibson – who was born in Paisley and now operates in the Far East- previously provided a £1million loan to Rangers and has now stumped up a further £4million in cash to secure an 8.27 per cent stake in the Light Blues during the latest Ibrox share issue.

The property tycoon is the founder of the Redwood Group and is currently the co-CEO of ESR, a leading real estate firm that operates in China, Japan, South Korea, Singapore, Australia and India.

His significant Ibrox investment comes as George Taylor, Douglas Park and George Letham also put more money into their boyhood heroes to further strengthen Rangers’ financial position.

Chairman Park now controls 13.23 per cent of the shares in RIFC plc and is the second largest shareholder behind former Ibrox chief Dave King, who own 22.06 per cent through New Oasis Asset Limited.

Taylor and Letham control 10.45 per cent and 4.89 per cent respectively, while fan group Club 1872 are the sixth largest investors with 5.36 per cent of the issued capital

Probably more to do with Celtic being a far far better team in that time tbh

Aye, don’t the bigot brothers always tell us they get more decisions because they’re better sides and attack more?

I appreciate that, but if you believe their theory that Beaton is a Rangers fan and he favours us then you surely wouldn’t expect Celtic to be awarded more penalties than us, booked less and sent off less?

I see James Tavernier became eligible to play for Scotland a few months ago.

Could be a good option for them at right back?...

You are clearly unaware of the fact that the SFA and the other Football Associations on these islands have agreed to ignore that FIFA rule.

Well aware of the agreement as it often gets brought up when mentioning Tav for Scotland. I’m sure if the Scottish FA wanted to make it happen they could. They went all out to get Andrew Driver in the squad. Not that he ever played in the end 😂

Turns out the SFA charge brought against Gerrard has been chucked out as not proved. I said that at the time it would be hard to prove what he meant, yet the SFA decided they wanted to waste everyone’s time.
